What customers say
Idyllic spot for exploring the Lakes. Beautiful views & walks nearby. Facilities basic but generally clean, though some found them dated, cramped & needing a spruce-up. Great value for money.

Great campsite to stay
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Enjoyed our stay there and location. Peaceful place. Host very helpful. Toilets and showers cleaned daily, toilet rolls and hand sope frovided by host although facilities slightly tired. Amazing place with milkshakes about 30min drive from campsite. Tasty food around. All in all really enjoyed our stay.
Disliked Fact that people (that come to stay there) cannot look after or respect stuff. But that obviously have noting to do with host. Also people haveing problems with respecting rules. Tent next to us 'had problem' with keeping thir dogs on the leash and gave them squeaky toys at 5am. Good job we were leaving the next day. We came on Wednesday and stayed until Saturday. Friday night a lot of new people came and it was a bit loud till late hours (around midnight).

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Location, being close to a number of fells for hillwalking. Local pub serving decent food.
Disliked Inadequate check-in on arrival- when phone finally answered received brief and somewhat unclear instruction on where to pitch tent. Facilities poor and in need of refresh. Shower and toilet area not very clean and ran out of toilet paper more than once. Waste/recycling area overflowing with rubbish.

Nice quiet location…
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Nice quiet location
Disliked I’m sorry though I must be really missing something or expecting too much. I found the facilities really tired and in need of a good shake up. Plumbing worked fine I think but there wasn’t anything appealing about the showers, toilets or wash up area. If it had been raining for any time the ground would’ve been a riot thankfully it was dry for my stay but evidence of a previous vehicle’s struggle in the mud. Owner seemed pleasant enough and appeared to do a quick security check around 10pm.

Lovely small, secluded campsite with decent, clean facilities.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Small, quiet and secluded campsite. Basic but decent facilities regularly cleaned. Plenty of space. Great display every night by the roosting barn owls on the hunt.
