Quiet location with great views

  • Simple campsite with moorland views 15 minutes’ drive from Bradford
  • The Piece Hall 15 minutes’ drive; Brontë Parsonage Museum 20 minutes
  • Grass pitches on a farm field; five minutes’ walk to the pub
Get back to nature with a down-to-earth camping adventure at Two Acre Camping, set in a farm meadow with far-reaching views over the wild moors of West Yorkshire, and 15 minutes’ drive from Bradford. There’s an abundance of local walks direct from the site, so you can exercise yourselves and any accompanying dogs in peaceful woodland or on nigh-deserted country lanes. For a typically friendly Yorkshire night out, take a leisurely stroll to the local foodie pub (five minutes’ walk), where you can tuck into fine beers and tempting pub food – and if you’re craving a curry, Bradford is of course the curry capital of the UK. Simple this place may be, but it’s all designed for your comfort and convenience, with fresh water access, easy cassette-emptying facilities and portable toilets. And you’ll be able to rest easy in your tent, knowing that the gate to the camping field is securely fastened at night.

Non-electric grass trailer tent or tent pitch

Liked: Went camping for one night. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Talks to you like your family, not just a guest. The place is very quiet and peaceful. Nice views and walks nearby. Queensbury or Thornton is a short walk away. The portaloo is kept clean, there is also a tap for drinking water. The place is kept clean and maintained and is secure. Have already booked to come back again. Would recommend.

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Really friendly host, good location, plenty of animals and wildlife about.
Portaloos were clean and well stocked.
Able to buy firewood and a fire pit from the host and the picnic table was an added bonus.
Not sure if we just visited at a quiet time but there was plenty of space and it was overall peaceful.

Non-electric grass trailer tent or tent pitch

Liked: It was a lovely quiet site in beautiful surroundings. I also loved the fact you could walk in all directions with ease. The portaloos were also kept very clean and tidy. If you like basic camping this is the site for you. A big bonus was you can have a firepit and Bbqs. The owner was also a very nice gentleman and happy to help with anything that you needed. I will be returning again that's for sure.

Non-electric grass trailer tent or tent pitch

Liked: It was a lovely plot with great views and horses nearby. Connections to Bradford and Thornton by foot. The campsite itself was like a small clearing/wood which was very pretty and quiet. Fire pits were available and fresh water accessible. Friendly staff who were very welcoming and were always available for help. It also felt secure and safe.

Disliked: The toilets didn’t work that well and we couldn’t get the water to work to wash our hands.

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked: This place is a gem!

From the stunning 360° views to the charming little site itself, everything about this spot feels special. The owners have put so much thought into adding quirky touches that make the wild camping experience one you’ll truly cherish.

Facilities:
The toilets are basic but don’t be fooled—they’re well maintained, kept clean, and fully stocked. Campfires can be hired on-site, and wood is available to buy, adding to the authentic outdoor vibe.

Arrival & Welcome:
We were greeted at the fabulous electric gate by the owner, who helped us find the perfect spot for our setup. After a warm welcome, we were given a few housekeeping tips and shown around, including how to operate the gate—and then our adventure began!

Atmosphere:
The kids ran up and down the field with the dogs while other families set up. The whole site has a really warm and welcoming atmosphere where you feel safe and part of a community.

Extras & Surroundings:
There are fab walks all around the area and even a pub at the top of the drive—what more could you need from a wild camping spot? To go above and beyond, there’s also a “borrow box” filled with toys to keep the kids entertained. We left some water pistols behind, so hopefully you’ll have fun with those when you visit!

Final Thoughts:
We will definitely go again

Disliked: The roadway down was a farm track… it’s not really a negative it is what it is. It’s bumpy and fragile and so treated like a delicate lady! Slow and steady haha

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We understand that the farm track can be a bit bumpy, and we appreciate your patience. While it's part of the rural charm of our location, we always encourage guests to take their time and enjoy the scenic surroundings as they arrive. We hope the rest of your stay was enjoyable, and we look forward to welcoming you again soon!

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked: The views and farm land were beautiful. My pitch was level, facing down the valley. Pine trees gave privacy at one side and no other vans at the other, so just fields, the lane and a distant farm. I was given a warm welcome and all explained. Paid for a fire pit with everything needed included.

Disliked: The lane was very bumpy in places.
