Lovely, peaceful site. Praised for spotless pitches, friendly hosts, and eco-facilities. Great for stargazing & space. Toilets/showers dated but clean. Midges & no playground were noted, but it's great value for a relaxing break.

Liked We had a excellent stay here, lovely owners, they were very welcoming, super clean facilities, little shop on site come in very handy, sells camping gas, confectionery, ect. Very peaceful and some nice walks, play park, stream with picnic area all close by

Liked Excellent site in the middle of nowhere. Hot showers, toilet facilities & a small shop / reception. Stopped for 1 night while passing through. Very quiet & suited my needs.

Disliked No dislikes as I knew what to expect from description on Pitchup.

Liked Very remote quiet site set in keilder forrest.
Pleasant helpful owner with small supply shop.
Level pitches
Plenty of walking from site.
Shower block was a bit dated but clean and fit for purpose.
Well situated for visiting hadrians wall.

Liked Friendly and warm welcome with a Choice of pitch.
Flat site in beautiful countryside with picnic benches available.
Good clean toilets, showers and wash up area.
Amazing dark sky filled with stars.
Lovely local walks.

Liked The site it self is fantastic, the staff are very friendly and help as much as they can the facilities are more than ample with showers in both the male and female toilets. There is washing facilities for your pots and pans as well as waste water and chemical waste drains. The pitch size is bigger than we were expecting and felt very safe on site. There is a park not far from the site located in Keilder Forrest and a social club which is open on weekends. They do have a shop at reception where you can get supplies if needed (gas etc) and beautiful view of the Sky as there is no light pollution brilliant for star gazing.
