What customers say
A grand, peaceful spot with cracking views & great facilities. The pub's a gem, top grub & a warm welcome. Pitches are grand, spacious, with lashings of hot water. Ideal for a wander. A few found the pitches a bit sloped & pub prices a tad steep, but everyone loved it.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked We were made to feel most welcome right from arriving at the site and this continued throughout our stay. The atmosphere within the pub and the site was friendly with great food and excellent facilities.
Disliked Nothing to dislike, it was just the relaxing break we needed.

Lovely location, but a bit tired
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked The site is easily accessed along reasonably sized roads, so no squeezing down small lanes. Its situated in beautiful surroundings and a footpath runs at the bottom of the site do its super easy to get out walking. The pitches are reasonably level and OK to access. Although I do wonder how easy it would be when busy as there isn't a huge amount of room.
Pub is conveniently located at the entrance to the site and was ok, if dated.
Disliked The toilets are centrally located but aren't the best. Toilet roll holders and locks are broken off the two male toilets that were open and the floor was dirty. Showers were alright though.
There is one place for emptying grey water and its right at the sink for washing-up so you have to time your trip well to avoid people. Only one water fill point and that's centrally placed with the washing up sink.

Would visit again if I didn’t have the dogs.
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked We enjoyed our brief stay. The site was quiet and amenities were very clean but with the bad weather the shower block was cold (probably better in summer as it has everything you needed in there). We certainly enjoyed our visit into the pub with the log fire - lovely. Unfortunately we never got to sample the menu as the weather turned worse so we headed home.
Friendly welcome.
The site is on a slope so you need levelling blocks, which we had so wasn’t a problem for us.
Disliked There wasn’t any open fields without livestock so walking dogs off lead was a problem (probably only a problem for us because ours are large and used to lots of exercise). There were plenty of walks if kept on lead.

It was okay, the site…
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked It was okay, the site was well placed, toilet and shower facilities good, very quiet area, great for walkers, not much else if you have no vehicle to get out and about, wonderful scenery. Owners keep themselves to themselves, we didn't eat at the Black Swan so can't give a review on food and customer service. Overall great for a quick stop off.
