  • Well-kept amenities including washing-up facilities and laundry area
Wrens of Ryedale Touring Park is a peaceful site located on the southern edge of the North York Moors National Park and within a short drive of both Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley. This attractive part of the world has easy access to all sorts of fabulous landscapes in the national park and is approximately an hour and a half's drive from the Yorkshire coast via the A170. Run as a family business, this friendly site is full of pleasant foliage and has some well-maintained amenities, including outdoor washing-up facilities and a handy laundry area. Well-behaved dogs are allowed to come and stay here throughout the season, and barbecues are allowed as well. At the end of the lane, approximately half a mile away, there are additional amenities, including a pub and takeaway restaurant. For walks, head down the road to Helmsley's handsome Duncombe Park or north into the wide open spaces of the North York Moors. You could also spend your days pottering around attractive market towns like Pickering (20 minutes' drive) and Thirsk (25 minutes) or exploring York's ancient city centre, which can be reached by road in about three quarters of an hour.
