  • Secluded adults-only retreat on a gentle west-facing slope
  • A 10-minute drive from Wroxham; 20 minutes from Norwich
  • Free-range eggs and seasonal apples and pears available on site
Henri's Paddock is a small-scale site set on the gently sloping side of a Norfolk family orchard. This secluded rural site is quiet for many reasons: not only is it set in a peaceful country location, there are also no noisy kids to disturb your stay. The site is west-facing (so especially well-placed for sunsets) with additional views over the south. It's almost bang in the middle of the northern Norfolk Broads as well – Wroxham's a 10-minute drive to the north, while equally scenic Brundall's the same distance to the south. There's a wild feel to this place, so that means getting by without on-site toilet facilities during your stay here. Apples and pears grow on these trees in the warmer months, while in spring there's delicate-looking blossom to admire. Henri's Paddock's industrious owners also do a nice little sideline in free-range eggs and fresh honey, both of which can be picked up on site. Dogs are welcome here and free to snuffle around the site on leads. Blofield Heath, a quiet village with a restaurant, café, bus stop and garden centre, is 15 minutes away on foot.

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: The location is everything here. Amazing sunsets, dark skies and total peace and quiet. It's what I keep coming back for. James is a true gent too, a lovely guy who allows limited numbers of people onto his very special land (maximum 3)

Disliked: nothing

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: A peaceful and beautiful place, whether rain or shine. Weather was mixed, but that helped show off the landscape to its full potential. James is a great host. We had bikes (which proved ideal) so we could meander around the countryside. There are lovely country lanes for walking / cycling and a few good pubs not too far away - the closest is the Brick Kiln, within a 10min or so walk, though further afield is The Stag and then the Fur & Feathers (brewery on site - highly recommended, though a 10-15min bike ride). Water is available on site, and James was able to dispose of chemical toilet waste, though no electricity - as such, we stayed for 3 nights as that is all our leisure battery could manage, but will definitely return!

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Peaceful small site, like camping in a lovely huge garden. Perfect sunset views over rolling fields. No facilities bit with a max of 3 pitches, you're very likely to be here by yourselves.... Brilliant.

Disliked: Don't ignore the guidance; make sure you head in from the north for easy turning into the gates.

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: There wasn’t anything to dislike, it was quiet, peaceful with beautiful surroundings, easy cycling to the shop/post office and the local pub. James & his daughter Lara were so friendly and welcoming. My husband & I were alone for the first two nights, James brought us two beers in a bucket of ice which was vey kind. All in all a great place to stay.
