Liked: Lovely lake and grounds, not far from Droitwich, with some lovely little villages around and pubs to visit. Lots of wildlife around and a lovely little lake. There is also an Elsan waste facility, which was very clean and well laid out (please put a sign on it Ben) 🙂
Disliked: This is now called Dormston campsite, so we were a bit thrown when we turned up. Pleased to say Ben answered his phone straight away to confirm we were at the right place, which was a relief. Hopefully the name change will be done on Pitch up soon.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass pitch
Liked: Peace and quiet, dark skies. Very basic site (this is good) with lots of footpaths in the area.
Disliked: The road through the site is a bit too narrow meaning that to get onto our pitch we had no choice but to drive across the grass at the corner of the pitch (6m long motorhome). Due to all the recent rain, the grass was very muddy and we almost got stuck.

Disliked: After a lot of rain lately, the whole site was boggy. Had to pitch my tent in the parking area.

Liked: Beautiful peaceful position. One of the quietest and most peaceful sites we've ever been to. Small site and adult only. Dog friendly and within walking distance of a pub with lots of other wonderful food places a short drive away. Lots of seasonal rain meant grass was quite muddy but gravel pitches and just take wellies or walking boots
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: No fuss campsite. Early in the season and just before the bank holiday so not many other campers. Everyone was friendly, Person managing the site responded quickly to any questions. Very quiet, peaceful site.

Disliked: The camp site. On arrival the main gate was locked so we rang the contact number to be told that the site was closed between October and March! Funny how did we manage to make a booking then? After checking the bookings the owner gave us the code to the lock and we went through the gate. The place looked destitute. There was not a sole around and the few caravans that were there looked almost abandoned. The ‘hard standing/gravel pitches’ were mere pea shingle patches thrown onto boggy muddy grass. The pitches didn’t appear wide enough for the caravan let alone anywhere to safely park the car. We always take our dog with us and it would have been a nightmare taking him for his exercise in the bog pit and to keep him clean. There were 6 pitches then a fenced off area with more pitches, even though I use the term pitches very loosely. I looked at my husband, he looked at me and almost simultaneously said ‘no, not staying here’. The ground was so sodden we were concerned that we would sink into it and not be able to get out. We’d paid £50 for this privilege and decided it really wasn’t worth it. We’ve stayed in much much better camp sites for less money. The random large animal figures dotted around were hideous and the whole site needs a good revamp. How they are allowed to charge people to risk their caravans and cars safely there is questionable. They’re also a certified camping and caravan site (or so their board says) but I’m confused as to how they would achieve this accolade. I’m sure during the summer months it might be an ‘ok’ site but to advertise hard standing/gravel pitches is a joke. We didn’t even get out the car, mainly because the ground was so muddy, we quickly booked onto another site and left.
