  • Riverside suntrap in the Severn valley
  • River Severn fishing rights included on site
  • A short riverside stroll from Stourport-on-Severn
Popular, pretty, in a riverside suntrap in the spectacular Severn Valley and with its own Severn fishing rights… one could lock oneself away here for some considerable time. Lincomb Lock Caravan Park is next to the lock on the River Severn that gives the park its name and is protected by a sandstone escarpment sheltering the site from cooler weather: suntan seekers, this is the place for you. It's all a placid riverside stroll from the canal town of Stourport-on-Severn and near fathoms of fishing opps on the nearby river and pools; the park also has its own River Severn fishing rights for those angling to land roach, bream, perch, chub, carp, barbel and more slippery sorts. (For other activities, Glades Leisure Centre and Shatterford Fishery are within easy driving distance of Lincomb Lock Caravan Park, or ask the staff about the many options for outdoor pursuits in the area like horse riding, mountain biking and golf.) The spotless park amenities at Lincomb Lock include separate bathrooms each with shower, sink and toilet; a meadow with pond is on site for picnics and general sunbathing/lazing about. Please note that that Lincomb Lock operates an adults-only policy on its touring and camping field and no-one under the age of 16 may stay on this part of the park.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked The welcome we received from all the staff was really friendly and welcome. The pitch as great on gravel and level. Even better is it is fully serviced which I didn't realise!
The park is beautifully laid out and the emphasis on conservation and wildlife is evident. We saw a Muntjac dear and heard a Tawny Owl from our pitch.
The toilet block is possibly the cleanest one ever used and liked the way they had 3 cubicles with toilet, shower and basin enclosed within. Piped radio was good too while in there. There is a slight incline to the toilets but not radical.
The walk to the River which takes about 10 minutes if leisurely is lovely and the Severn Way pathway which goes from Lincomb Lock to Stourport is absolutely lovely and takes about 30 minutes to walk.
The fishing on the river included with the site has about 3 pegs to fish from and caught the usual species but mainly perch, skimmers, roach, dace, eels but no Barbel or chub sadly.
We had a full signal with BT Wifi and phone wherever on the site.
I would recommend the Quayside Fish restaurant highly at the Marina next door also. Food and service is epic.... 15 minutes walk down the river. Need to book though....
Overall we loved this park but the friendliness of Zoe and the staff was wonderful, as were other campers and residents in the statics too......

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Beautifully kept site. Staff really friendly & helpful. Only a small area for touring pitches but they are individual with hedges. The bathrooms are large with good showers, basin & loos. Very clean.
The whole site is very well kept, flowers everywhere. Lovely walks. Good footpath to Stourport along the river.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked The grounds are exceptional, so well maintained with a mix of grass and flower beds and wild areas. Lots of wild life as a result, my regards to the owl in the tree next to my space. They were a welcome addition.
The facilities are excellent, with spacious shower rooms.
Stourport was interesting with a pleasant waterside walk there.
Everyone I met at this site were pleasant, staff were helpful and welcoming.

Disliked Nothing.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Wardens friendly and approachable providing advise and assistance when required. Amenities and grounds spotless, toilets with piped music with 3 cubicles with toilet shower and sink and then one separate cubicle with just a toilet (ladies) again spotless. Dog walk area absolutely fantastic which was impeccably kept. The grounds are beautiful and well tendered to. Pitches were a mix of hardstanding and grass with just enough room for caravan and awning space, around the back space to relax. A great distance from stourport for a gentle stroll along the canal.

Disliked Location of touring pitches - literally in the car park! Highly priced for June and the fact of where the pitches were placed. Approach lane no passing places so could be difficult if you're towing and something else coming in other direction!

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked We were very impressed with this park. The team never seemed to stop working and it showed in the beautiful flowers and landscape and cleanliness. Well done them.
There were lots of special touches all over the park and it also had a nice 20 min riverside walk into Stourport and Hartlebury common was just over the road perfect to walk the dog. There were just a dozen or so pitches as mainly statics. we don’t usually go to any site more than once but we would definitely go back to Lincomb Lock

Local attractions

Stroll along the canal to the town of Stourport-on-Severn (and past moored boats that will make you seethe/weep with envy) for shops, restaurants and a riverside recreation area with pleasure rides, crazy golf, bowling, putting greens and self-drive boats. Stourport was once a thriving inland port, and the Stourport Canal Basins tell the tale of their heyday in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. They've recently been restored and now have pubs, cafés and restaurants to sup in and watch the boats going through the locks, as well as their five basins with listed houses and warehouses alongside around a hundred narrowboats and yachts. Also nearby for heritage hunters are the Severn Valley Railway, Bewdley Working Museum, Hartlebury Castle (with the Worcestershire County Museum), Witley Court and Harvington Hall. Ancientness of a natural sort is highly recommended at Wyre Forest, while wildlife hunters can trek around the West Midlands Safari Park for over 165 species, a safari drivethrough and a theme park.
