  • Riverside suntrap in the Severn valley
  • River Severn fishing rights included on site
  • A short riverside stroll from Stourport-on-Severn
Popular, pretty, in a riverside suntrap in the spectacular Severn Valley and with its own Severn fishing rights… one could lock oneself away here for some considerable time. Lincomb Lock Caravan Park is next to the lock on the River Severn that gives the park its name and is protected by a sandstone escarpment sheltering the site from cooler weather: suntan seekers, this is the place for you. It's all a placid riverside stroll from the canal town of Stourport-on-Severn and near fathoms of fishing opps on the nearby river and pools; the park also has its own River Severn fishing rights for those angling to land roach, bream, perch, chub, carp, barbel and more slippery sorts. (For other activities, Glades Leisure Centre and Shatterford Fishery are within easy driving distance of Lincomb Lock Caravan Park, or ask the staff about the many options for outdoor pursuits in the area like horse riding, mountain biking and golf.) The spotless park amenities at Lincomb Lock include separate bathrooms each with shower, sink and toilet; a meadow with pond is on site for picnics and general sunbathing/lazing about. Please note that that Lincomb Lock operates an adults-only policy on its touring and camping field and no-one under the age of 16 may stay on this part of the park.

Electric grass touring caravan pitch

Liked: Fabulous site. Well maintained, great communication. Loved the location and walks to Stourport-on-Severn easy. Easy access to the river. My favourite bit ….. never had Greatest Hits Radio playing in the toilet block on site before … made me giggle everytime I went in and I’ve never boogied so much in the shower. Toilet/shower facilities are spotless. Thank you everyone for a great stay. Highly recommended

Disliked: Nothing

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked: Site excellently kept. Staff extremely friendly. Toilet/shower block immaculate at all times. A small incline to block, definitely nothing major. Dog friendly with a meadow they can run free. Approx 30 - 45mins walk into town, mainly along the river. We'll worth a visit

Disliked: Says adult only and children's play area in tourist pitches section. Not an issue as no children on our visit

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you Rob & Lorraine, great review. Glad to hear that you did enjoy your stay with us, despite the play area. We are adults only on touring and do understand, that the play area could be an issue, luckily it was not. The park itself is not adult only, but we get very few children here as a rule. We look forward to seeing you and Chris again soon. Wishing you all the very best from Zoë, John and the Lincomb team.

Electric grass touring caravan pitch

Liked: Lovely well kept site. Helpful and friendly staff. Brilliant pitches all serviced. Very quiet and peaceful.

Disliked: A bit too far for us to walk down the river path to the the town. Also we paid £144 for 4 nights Sunday to Thursday but speaking to the people on the next pitch they paid £72 for 3 nights Monday to Thursday. So we paid twice as much for having an extra night! On speaking to staff we were told if you book in the week you get a free night. This wasn't obvious to us when we booked.

From the manager: Thank you Russ & Claire, for taking the time to leave us a positive review. I have sent you an email today thanking you for bringing to our attention, unclear special offers. We look forward to seeing you both again soon. Wishing you all the very best from Zoë, John and the Lincomb team.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked: Clear instructions, toilet/shower facilities good - each unit had a toilet, sink and shower so it was easy to do everything in one place. Very clean and well maintained 'manicured' site. Easy walk down to the river and along the river into the town. Very quiet.

Disliked: Pitches very 'manicured' ie not rustic - but fine for a night. View onto car park not great. Would have been nice to have some sort of screen to the car park and cars driving by. Very expensive. Everything was fine but not really 'our' type of place as it was more geared to the holiday homes, there was no view, but everything was functional, clean and we have no complaints but probably would not choose to come hear again, sorry.

From the manager: Thank you Caroline & Stephen, for your review and feedback. We are sorry that our park did not suit you, for your 1 night stay. Wishing you all the very best from Zoë, John and the Lincomb team.

Local attractions

Stroll along the canal to the town of Stourport-on-Severn (and past moored boats that will make you seethe/weep with envy) for shops, restaurants and a riverside recreation area with pleasure rides, crazy golf, bowling, putting greens and self-drive boats. Stourport was once a thriving inland port, and the Stourport Canal Basins tell the tale of their heyday in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. They've recently been restored and now have pubs, cafés and restaurants to sup in and watch the boats going through the locks, as well as their five basins with listed houses and warehouses alongside around a hundred narrowboats and yachts. Also nearby for heritage hunters are the Severn Valley Railway, Bewdley Working Museum, Hartlebury Castle (with the Worcestershire County Museum), Witley Court and Harvington Hall. Ancientness of a natural sort is highly recommended at Wyre Forest, while wildlife hunters can trek around the West Midlands Safari Park for over 165 species, a safari drivethrough and a theme park.
