Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: - Pitch was a good size - Very convenient location, couple of minutes from Evesham and the Country Park - The quietest campsite at night! - Beautiful sunsets in naturally beautiful surroundings - Good, clean facilities, including a family washroom which was really helpful for us - Hot croissants available to order for the morning! - Lovely owners - Nice little touches - a herb garden, little shop in reception, games and toys to borrow, lots of naturally kept areas meaning loads of wildlife

Disliked: - Not really a dislike - but take a long extension for the hookup, our 10m one wasn’t quite long enough as the hook up point was on the next pitch. We made it work but had we used a 15/20m one it would have made life a little easier!

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you so much Gemma for your lovely review! So wished you had told us your cable was not long enough and we would have lent you one for your stay! Great pictures and lovely comments about all the little touches - hope to see you again!

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Friendly welcome, beautiful site, natural, nature supporting, clean facilities, large showers, washing up area (with provided washing up liquid), laundry facilities (2x£1 per wash on our visit with laundry liquid included), flat and spacious pitches, quiet, lovely views, secure site with keypad gate, lots of local walks, 5 minute walk to park and playground which my kids (5,9) loved. We visited and would recommend: Stratford - park and ride, Shakespeare birth place museum, Mad museum National Trust - Snowshill Manor then visit to Broadway village

From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely words and for the recommendations of where to go - really useful for people looking to stay on the site. It was lovely to meet you all and we hope to see you again.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Nice small but very tidy site. Facilities exceptionally clean throughout our 5 night stay. A handy site for a 1 night journey break or (as we did) a longer stay to explore the area. Fairly well stocked shop on site. Bus stop a short walk away for trips to Evesham, Stratford upon Avon and villages in between (max single fare £2 at time of writing). A dark site at night so no external lights. Plenty of walks locally, reception can help with where to go. The site has wifi but it’s a bit spotty (not THE most important matter but some might need it for work). This is a very eco-aware site so plant based washing liquids are needed (washing up liquid as well as washing liquid and fabric conditioner are provided free). Just under a 2 hour drive for us so expect we’ll be back before over long.

Disliked: Nothing to do with the site but the Valley retail park nearby is not easy to get to on foot and really only worth visiting for branded clothing stores, although there’s a country park and a narrow gauge railway. There’s also attractions for youngsters (including a splashpad - not a patch on the one in Evesham mind) so maybe I’m doing it a disservice. In my defence it was raining quite hard when we visited so an open air retail park didn’t really fit the bill.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked: What a lovely camp site! We only had time to stay for a single night due to a hectic timetable of summer events for us but fully intend to return in the near future. The site is a smaller one compared to many of the vast places we've stayed before but this adds to the charm and honestly means you're not tripping over too many people or fighting for the facilities. I was surprised at how large the pitches were as I was worried my big tent (8 man) wouldn't fit but there were others that were bigger around the place. Everything was spotless and that's not just the great loo block and showers. I didn't see a single bit of rubbish other than in the bin and there's encouragement to recycle .... Everything including food, used cooking fat, books and any bits and bobs you no longer need. An honesty box was great to see and goes with the site's ethos. We were lucky enough to grab some of the last homemade blackberry cake that used some of the blackberries picked on the site. The team were brilliant and accommodated my changing plans and we're happy to direct me to places that I needed on the basis I forgot half the stuff I needed! The views of the local countryside were stunning. As was the crazily dark sky at night, which I bored friends and family with loads of photos of. The site itself was quiet and fellow visitors kept the noise levels down and there wasn't a lot of driving in and out at silly times as I've experienced before.

Local attractions

Keen to hit the footpaths? The Blossom Trail (five minutes’ drive) has three routes, ranging from a leisurely family stroll to a more robust six-mile hike. More walks take in Iron Age remains at Kemerton Camp (25 minutes) on Bredon Hill, the Malvern Hills (40 minutes, for day-long yomps with serious views), and of course, the Cotswolds (15 minutes), where you can also cycle through delightful mellow-stone villages like Bourton-on-the-Water (35 minutes) and Broadway (15 minutes). If you love history, there is plenty to keep the family busy. For a spot of castle-bagging, kids can follow an interactive trail or dress up as medieval knights at Warwick Castle, and there’s a massive play area with zipwires and obstacle courses at Sudeley Castle (both 30 minutes). For a dose of serious culture, take in a play at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon (20 minutes), or book seats at concerts and international film releases at Malvern Theatres (40 minutes).
