Idyllic, spotless spot with ample, level pitches. Staff are brilliant. Lovely views for walks. A few mention A50 noise, some distance to facilities, and variable shower temps. No Wi-Fi.

Quiet camp site...
Pleasant and peaceful...

Disliked Distance from the camping paddock to the toilet block.
Lack of any waste disposal skips/bins - although this may have been because we happened to be the only campers on site when we stayed.

Liked Lovely quiet spacious site with plenty of space to pitch up. We loved being in the middle of the countryside but also close to shops, pubs etc. Very friendly site and will be coming back.

Disliked Facilities were good just showers / sinks could have been a little cleaner

Liked Schöner großer Rasenplatz mit Teich. Große Stellplätze. Der Hund war begeistert. Für die Durchreise zum erholen sehr gut.

Disliked Damendusche war vom Geruch her für mich nicht nutzbar da Asthma. Habe dir wesentlich neuere Anlage im Herrenbereich genutzt.

Disliked Its a 5 minute drive to nearest place to get food only a minor gripe also wifi would be nice but also nice to switch the moby off

Once you've ticked off Alton Towers (20 minutes' drive), take intrepid kids go-karting at the National Forest Adventure Farm (30 minutes), Go Apeing at Cannock Chase (35 minutes) or pony trekking at the local riding stables (15 minutes). Drayton Manor (50 minutes), another top-tier theme park, is also doable for the day if you're staying at Park Hall Farm. (Kids turned away from the biggest rides at Alton? Drayton Manor has more rides accessible to kids under 120 centimetres.) Action-packed activities not pushing the right buttons? Chilled garden explores are on the cards at the Trentham Estate (25 minutes), where there's a mile-long lake, a cascading weir and acres of fab foliage. Other floral displays can be seen at Shugborough Hall (35 minutes), a stately home with walled gardens and a hands-on farm museum. Last, but emphatically not least, is Chatsworth House (an hour and 10 minutes) with its 25 square miles of ornamental grounds. For other ways to sample a slice of the high life, spend a while watching horses clearing hurdles at Uttoxeter Racecourse (15 minutes) or settle in for a soak at Moddershall Oaks Country Spa Retreat (20 minutes).
