Liked: Perfect place to stay if you are visiting the area or going to Alton Towers like we did. Alton and Towers itself is five minutes away. The site itself was absolutely perfect for what we needed. I received a call earlier in the day of the booking from the owner welcoming me and informing me of where to go. And she then took the time to come and say hello once we set up. The toilet and shower block is possibly the cleanest and nicest I've ever seen and I have stayed at quite a few. There is also a large field with goals set up which was very pleasing for me and my son. That does seem to be a burger bar which serves steaks and burgers. But this wasn't open when we was there probably due to how quiet it is at the moment. But I cannot knock this place all the management full stop thank you all for a great stay we will definitely be returning one day

Liked: Easy to get to Alton Towers.
Disliked: Very basis campsite. No waste disposal for the great waste. Turns of the electricity at 11am on morning of departure with no warning. Ladies and men’s shower and toilet block is just divided by a thin wall no no roof. Felt rather exposed.

Liked: Toilet and shower facilities were very well maintained. Very clean and well lit. I hadn’t realised there was a washing up facility and drinking water tap when I booked and I made good use of these. Location is perfect for going to Alton towers in the day and there seems to be loads of lovely walking trails nearby. The staff were very friendly and we rented a fire pit with wood and kindling for £10 for our stay which was extremely useful as the weather was much colder than we were expecting There were some friendly cows in the field next to us

Liked: Shower block spotless (radio playing in the background was an added bonus) massive fields, loads of space for firepits and very close to alton towers. The local chinese takeaway in ashbourne was lovely and only 10 minute scenic drive away!
Disliked: The British weather 🤣🤣🤣🤣 nothing we can do about this ha ha. Cant fault the site!

Liked: How lovely and attentive the host was, to ensure we had a lovely stay. I was alone with my young son and she made me feel at ease. Had some issues with 2 lots of other campers and she pulled herself out at 11.30pm ish to sort one of the groups out due to their loud noise and music. I liked all the facilities. Everything in close range. Radio on in the showers at all times, helped us not get spooked out in the night. Very close to all the big attractions which was fantastic.
Disliked: I think the shower cubicle walls could do with more cleaning, but no issues with anything else.

Liked: The owner must have put heart in running the campsite as you can see from how well the facilities are maintained, how often they cleaned the toilets and showers and how they did not let the campsite overly booked during a long bank holiday weekend. They also have a food truck on site which the bacon bap is excellent !

Liked: The camp site is well-managed. They have reserved sufficient spaces for everyone and doesn’t feel crowded at all during blank holiday weekend. Whenever you go to toilet, you can often see someone is cleaning the toilet making sure it is tidy and dry( and we had a rainy weekend!) The food truck on site is a bonus as well. Last but not least, it is the price you pay!! £10 per person per night! Nowhere else can beat this price for what you get.
Disliked: Nth to dislike!

Liked: Greeted with a warm welcome. Everything you could need provided. Hot showers, clean toilets, fire pits, plenty of space, easy to get in and out of the entrance with the caravan. Shame about the weather. The Yew Tree pub was quirky.
