Liked: Didn't have to get out of the campervan (leaving the dog) to check in at reception - reception came to us! Fantastic! Apparently the campsite was full on one of the nights, but it didn't feel like a full campsite. The pitches were nice and big and well spaced out. Location - early morning walks in an almost empty forest are fantastic. Motorhome service point was very easy to use.
Disliked: Not being able to pre-allocate pitches prior to arrival. I was meeting two other people in tents and we wanted to be placed close to each other. We were allocated adjacent plots once we arrived, but would have been nice to have been able to pre-book and eliminate the worry beforehand that we'd be far apart.

Liked: We stayed midweek with our eldest son in a trailer tent for a couple of nights. The location was handy, near to Sherwood Forest and 10 mins away from a large supermarket. It was also a 5 minute walk away from a cafe and Go Ape. We found the staff to be helpful and the pitches were good sized (not feeling like we were sardines next to one another). The toilet block was nice and clean with running showers. There was free Wifi on site and the signal I thought was very good. My only reservation would be to see what it is like in school holidays as I would imagine it can be a lot busier and noisier.
