Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked: Lovely scenery, easy check in and beautiful gowns. Lovely outside food and drinks street kitchen, great idea and met some nice people. Out pitch was a great size, plenty of room for our camper and an outside little setup. Got chatting to the family next to us as we both had a VW. Overall lovely stay and we will visit again.
Disliked: we enquired and were told the outside street kitchen was open for food until 8.00pm but, when we went up at 7.30pm to order, the lady said she was cleaning up and not doing anymore food. We wouldn't have minded if it was close to 8.00pm but, it was half hour before closing and we only wanted some loaded fries. Maybe a change in opening times or last orders would be an idea as we were really looking forward to some food and we don't eat early.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked: The grounds were nice, and clean. It was lovely to walk through the woods. The service pitches were good and you could park very close to the hook ups. The toilets were close by. Pitch was level. Play area and park for children. Dog walking area.
Disliked: Toilet and show blocks were outdated and poor quality. Push button for shower lasts approx 10 seconds. Water far too hot and cannot be altered. Shower floor/walls filthy and stained. Drains with dead spiders Laundry facilities poor with 1 washing machine for the entire park and 1 drier, which was out of order. Main door wedged open so lots of flying critters and spiders to share your shower and toileting experience. Caravan with awning very very close to ours on one side, giving very little privacy. For a 5* park we expected much more and much better facilities. On initial check, I wasn’t given any information regarding the park and had to ask for a map of the park area and how to get to designated pitch. Paid for several days of WIFI but it would only work briefly and intermittently. Very poor value.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked: The pitches are well spaced out in small groups. I liked being amongst the trees, but beware of pine cones dropping from them in the night! The accessible toilet is truly accessible with a fold down shower seat and plenty of space to get your wheelchair in. As its so spacious you can keep your wheelchair and clothes dry while showering. There is also a shower chair (not on wheels) in the area which is handy to put by sink. The facilities including toilets and washing up area are very clean. The washing up area is under cover and has a dishrack which makes life easier. There are plenty of toilet blocks and washing up areas. Cars are allocated parking spaces but this does rely on people parking neatly and in their space. Due to bad parking I couldn't get into my space but it wasn't too busy so I parked further down but it did mean I took someone else's space. Maybe marked parking bays would help. Although the site is large it doesn't feel it due to the careful design layout. The staff were friendly and the other people staying seemed generally. A nice family atmosphere. I'd definitely return but ask for a pitch close to my car.
Disliked: As a disabled camper I was disappointed not to be able to have my car next to my tent as I have to put my wheelchair in it at night and like to store things in my car as I have a small tent. The signs for the camping pitches are very hard to find as they're painted on slabs in the grass and are slightly worn. I never did find the pitch I'd booked and ended up camping in the pitch next to where my number should have been which meant I didn't get the electric hook up I'd paid for. Unfortunately I'd already pitched my tent before I noticed I was in the wrong place. Some of the pitches aren't that level. It would be helpful if staff gave you a map so that you could find your space more easily. Cars are allocated parking spaces but this does rely on people parking neatly and in their space. Due to bad parking I couldn't get into my space but it wasn't too busy so I parked further down but it did mean I took someone else's space. Maybe marked parking bays would help. The gravel path from the car park to the pitch is tricky for wheelchair users. Reception closed at 18.00 so I couldn't contact anyone when I had a problem with parking. It's a pity the accessible toilet didn't include a changing places toilet. Very expensive for 1 night but that was peak season.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked: Location. Really easy walk to the town. Quite central for visiting places of interest.
Disliked: Not a 5* site. Before you go you need to ring and ask NOT to be on pitches 2-5. These have tents behind them and people were walking thru our pitch. And obviously noise travels at night. People were still outside at 1.00am. Shower block was horrendous, firstly the shower was cold and when I went to the loo one was full of paper, one had dirty paper on the seat and the third one I had to share with spiders daddy long legs. This needs some indoor space in the eating area. And lastly make sure your water hose is long enough

Liked: Beautiful location, peaceful
Disliked: Shower/toilet blocks weren't very clean. Dragon flies all over the walls n in corners, these definitely need attention and a serious deep clean from ceiling to floors n windows. WiFi signal poor

Liked: Beautiful site X clean great facilities, has a bar and street food :) Although we had drama I would stay again the kids play area is very good
Disliked: I would book direct with the site as pitch up sold us a pitch we could not use and we had to move ( I booked hard standing with grass and it was hard standing with I'd say no more than a meter of grass) to add injury to insult the pitch the out of hrs receptionist put us on was allocated the next day (we didn't know this at the time !! so we had to move pitch again. I mean we did laugh in the end, as we ended up moving moving our air awning down the road 2 times, like we was in some bloody carnival!! my hubby was fuming lol 🤣.
