Electric grass pitch

Liked: Secluded and attractive location. Individual toilet and shower rooms.

Disliked: Quality of some facilites was not good. eg Chemical waste disposal was in need of an upgrade and there was no running water to clean toilet containers. Price was high considering the above.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, the tap at the chemical disposal had been broken. I have had a new tap installed behind the shower block and a new base ready for a new tank to be installed. It does mean at the moment the tap is there to wash out your waste but you will need to walk back to empty the water. This is explained on arrival. My prices are very good as I don’t charge to use the showers and electric is included in the pitch price.

Overall not bad with a bit of TLC will be very good.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Clean ablutions, quiet site, good fishing. Easy access to the site. Very friendly staff.

Disliked: A few of the fishing pegs need work, very smelly S Tank, Elsan point needs a bit of sorting out wood rotten round Elsan etc, no rinse facility at Elsan point.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Really enjoyed this site, i camped with a 15 and 17 year old on an electic pitch, the putch was nice and even, showers was clean, owners was welcoming and helpful, we enjoyed fishing and the fish do appear to be well cared for. During our stay there was younger children on the site who seemed to love the fish aswel. We caught fish after fish, anyone who enjoys a chilled out fishing place will enjoy there stay here aswel as any children who enjoy fishing, however if your looking for playgrounds etc then this may not be for you as there os literally only a lake. Lovely place would return again no issues, met all our needs.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Quite, small area

Disliked: We arrived evening before, just for a night ,wanted to leave our caravan for couple hours longer next day,to have a chance to go to seaside, unfortunately we heard definite No! We where aloud to stay a bit longer in different places if there wasn't anybody coming that day, without extra cost! So we were quite disappointed

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: I’m sorry you were disappointed about not being able to leave your caravan on site while you went out. Most people email ahead of their visit to arrange this and I always allow them to leave their van. If you would have contacted me I could have explained to you about the site closing on that day and if it would have spoiled your visit I would have been happy to rearrange your nights stay. Unfortunately, on the day you wanted to leave your van I was closing the site for a week on that Sunday afternoon. We needed to be able to clean through and close down the site which takes some hours to do. I am suffering with cancer and I’m due to have more surgery on 17th June so I had planned a break away from the Sunday you were leaving so I could try to rest before my surgery. It’s a very stressful time and I’m still trying to run a business but unfortunately was left with no choice but to close the site for a week to get some much needed rest. I do hope you consider staying with us in the future and contact me to arrange to leave your van. I’d be happy for you to leave your van while you went out to visit the local attractions.
