  • Peaceful, rural glamping haven among acres of farmland with lake views
  • Market Rasen within 15 minutes’ drive and Tealby 20 minutes away
  • Adults-only spa on site with pool, sauna, hot tub and treatment room
The words ‘luxury glamping’ get bandied about a fair bit but this place truly does amp up the decadence of an alfresco hol thanks to its bijou spa (extra charge) and plush accommodation… Settle in at North Gulham Glamping for wellness-focused stays in the scenic Lincolnshire countryside with the add-on option of unwinding in the sauna, swimming in the heated pool and having massages in the treatment room. Clink champagne glasses in the hot tub to celebrate your luck at finding such a top-notch spot – cosying up at North Gulham Glamping, in the peace and quiet among acres of farmland and countryside and with no main road for miles, is a most excellent antidote to a tough working week. It’s also a cracking way to chill out after exploring the local area: although the site’s in a remote location, amenities and attractions are easy to reach, including a pub within walking distance (and which happens to be known for its excellent steaks…). Towns like Market Rasen and Tealby, with their inns, farm shops and tearooms, are within 20 minutes’ drive. For other meals, take your supplies to the park's communal kitchen or use the private cooking facilities in each bell tent. Whatever eats you whip up can be consumed alfresco on your outdoor decking (which also has barbecue facilities and a firepit) while soaking up the views over the horses’ paddocks and lake… then maybe it's time to get back in the spa to max out on the relaxation all over again.

Bell tent (superior, four person)

Liked: Loved the location, the cleanliness and the comfort. Traveled with 3 children (10,14,16) and a dog. We were the only ones there. The freedom was wonderful. We could play music and we didn't worry about the smoke. The bed was really comfy and the toilets cleaner than some hotels I've stayed in!

Disliked: One of the zbeds was missing a few springs so my son had to avoid the bar. Just need replacing.

Bell tent (superior, four person)

Liked: The location was lovely, showers and toilets exceptionally clean, kitchen area with an oven was great. Bell tent was a good size and looked lovely (decor and finishings in the tent) equipment supplied was good for cooking/eating. Stunning sunsets. Didn’t use the spa but spoke to people that did and thought it was lovely.

Disliked: Understand massively it’s on a farm so came armed with mosquito spray/candles etc but was not prepared for the amount of wasps! We had nine in the tent at one point! Assume there was a nest nearby as others were also having issues getting them out of their tents. We’re well seasoned campers and used to the odd wasp but at one point I lost count how many we were trying to escape from, understand not a lot to be done about wasps, but we would of upped the anti with wasp spray if we’d known.

Bell tent (superior, four person)

Liked: Beautiful, peaceful site. Spacious and clean bell tent. Great kitchen and shower facilities. Close to Market Rasen and rail links to Lincoln. Watching the horses and goats running happily in the fields alongside was a joy particularly for our young son. Perfect little break away. Thank you

Disliked: Exceptionally well supplied with utensils and cutlery, but needed washing before use. Locks on the doors of the toilets need realigning.

Bell tent (superior, four person)

Liked: The location was idyllic. It was lovely to sit and watch the horses, goats and ducks. The facilities are clean and conveniently located. It was brilliant that we were able to book exclusive use of the pool for one hour blocks. We even had a fly-past of the red arrows. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this glamping site.

Disliked: The mattresses on the single beds were very uncomfortable. Fortunately, we had brought along air mattresses and these worked well on top of the beds.

Bell tent (superior, four person)

Liked: Lovely yurts. Surrounded by fields, horses, sheep & goats. Kind owner- allowed us to change our dates due to illness.

Disliked: Stayed here with my adult daughter ( both recovering from recent health issues) took along our books, paints and nice foods in order to relax, meditate & enjoy some peace & quiet ( had stayed here previously few years ago and it was idyllic) However on this visit this did not happen sadly 😞. This site is on a working farm, we was aware there would be 'some' noise... but as soon as we arrived there was a flurry of activity, fields being cut adjacent to the yurts & fire lit creating a lingering waft of smoke. Then the almost constant banging, drilling, sawing in the barn behind us until 9pm. The next morning all the noise began again, plus there was a awful pungent smell blowing around what we can only describe like offal -something rotting / sewage/ manure etc. it was truly vile & made us both feel sick. The fridge in the kitchen was broken & everything was iced up solid, ruining some of our food. Plus, no tin opener, & the crockery had seen better days. I developed a migraine & my daughter felt sick so we packed up & came home early as we felt we couldn't endure this all any longer. This really was a big disappointment. Sad to say I wouldnt stay here again.

Bell tent (superior, four person)

Liked: We really loved how quiet it was, we were the only ones in the bell tents when we went which was great. My daughter really enjoyed being so close to the horses and just being able to safely run around the area! We went for a nice walk to a bridge close by which we all enjoyed too. Staff were very helpful when we had a small problem, would come again for sure!

Bell tent (superior, four person)

Liked: - Beautiful tent in tranquil setting - Great kitchen facilities and BBQ - Spacious, clean shower/toilets - Walk to The Bull Inn for steak and a pint (less than 3 miles) - The Cheese Shed (10 minute drive) - All the animals (horses, goats, sheep, cat, ducks and an owl)

Disliked: Unusual to need to bring duvet and pillows (not just covers) but just about everything else is thought of and provided, and I sleep better with my own pillows tbf

Local attractions

Ready to tear yourself away from the spa? Have a flutter on the horses at Market Rasen Racecourse (15 minutes’ drive) or mosey on over to the eastern end of the Lincolnshire Wolds for the motor racing at Cadwell Park Circuit (40 minutes). Stop off for a hike or cycling trip in the hills around the site or take the kids to Hall Farm Park’s indoor and outdoor play areas (less than 10 minutes) as a treat for being so good while you were busy getting a massage. Public parks for the small fry to run about in are over in Brigg and Market Rasen, both less than 15 minutes away, as well. Seeking grownup activities? Head to the Hemswell Antique Centres (20 minutes) to investigate the wares of more than 375 furniture and collectables dealers gathered on an old bomber airbase, or go southwards to Lincoln (half an hour) to explore the cathedral and castle.
