Liked: Great little camp site! Loved visiting and feeding the animals. My son enjoyed the adventure trail, collecting stamps around the park. The cafe was great too.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Electric worked

Disliked: Pitched in a dipped patch. Woke up to geese bathing in the point that had surrounded us. I understand you can’t control the weather but you can control the level of your pitches. Toilets hadn’t been cleaned in what looked like a month. Hairs from ever part of body littered on every part of the wash and toilets.

From the manager: Each time you do this pitchup.com baffle me.!!! There are a good number of reviews for the period of this person's visit. All scored us very high on cleanliness and most specifically highlighted the cleanliness of the toilets and showers. One even spoke of them being spotless throughout the weekend. This reviewer can say the complete opposite to everyone else and it doesn't breach your "factually inaccurate" standards. Their view stated they had not been cleaned, for what appeared a month. This isn't opinion based, it's a bloody lie. We asked them when they were stood around the toilets/showers and they said "Yes fine, we just have fussy kids, who don't won't a shower". To which the parent carried them in and showered. The review gives us a low score on WiFi. We now have Starlink, which gives excellent WiFi, despite us clearly advertising we don't offer WiFi, when customers book. There's a larger notice now advertising our new WiFi, which these campers chose not to benefit from but still gave us a poor mark They scored us low on accommodation & they brought their own with them. Scored us really low on customer service yet they never came to us with anything to manage. In fact on the contrary prior to arrival we were sent numerous questions, including "was our shop expensive?" We answered all questions, in a timely manner. We approached them with, what appeared concerns over the showers, yet we were lied to ( in their opinion) and told they were fine, just a fussy kid, not wanting to shower. The customer lied to us then gave us the poor scoring for customer service???? They too went away and cowardly put it in a review. Value for money too, low yet we are one of the cheapest, don't charge ANY extras and stock predominantly priced marked items in the shop to evidence our minimum profit margin policy The area of where they pitched was slightly lower than ground level but they could of moved slightly away from the area of concern to set up. I attach a photo of the area to show how minimal the ground level changes. And how quickly the ground had drained. This was took very soon after they left. Friday night there was a very heavy downpour, all night. The puddle was sat, due to saturated ground for a very short period of time, before draining away into our very sandy land.. We have had issues with Pitchup.com reviews in the past, that have clearly contradicted fact and what all other reviews of the time stated. Openly we have been told by pitchup that it is good to leave a bad one in, EVEN IF ITS NOT TRUE, to show a little balance and somehow provide customer protection and evidence a rounded approach to future customers. What a load of claptrap. All you are protecting are keyboard warriors and dishonest people. Not the honest site owners who work very hard and provide you with your income. I will post this in the comments box of the dishonest review that you refuse to remove. By way of my response to the review that we disputed. It isn't that we can't take feedback. We are constantlyi told that we have thought of every but we haven't.. the campers have, that we listen to and we actively build on feedback good or bad. Our issue is that the feedback needs to be true, and ideally after we have been approached at the time to help resolve matters. Cowardly keyboard warriors we don't accept. When leaving the adult male claimed it was like derigging after Glastonbury!!! Really.

Local attractions

Walkers, hikers, cyclists, energetic runners and nature spotters have Tuetoes Wood right beside Sunflower Park, the Forestry Commission-managed and publicly accessible part of vast Laughton Forest. If you're an avid animal fan, take time to get to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park just outside Doncaster, home to a menagerie of over 300 from around the world, and to The Deep at Hull, one of the biggest aquariums in the UK and a habitat for over 3000 marine critters. Going south, history buffs can get to Lincoln for eleventh century Lincoln Cathedral, the third biggest in Britain after St Paul's in London and York Minster. Lincoln Castle is also well worth a look, to gaze geekily upon one of the four original remaining copies of the Magna Carta.
