Facilities are well-maintained and in a purpose-built shower and loo block; an indoor washing-up area and a coin-operated washing machine are also on site. The Pepper Pot Caravan Park is a very decent spot to use as a base for exploring Gloucestershire and its surrounds, particularly for those who like their wildlife or historic homes. Two golf clubs are within a quick drive, as is Berkeley Castle (10 minutes' drive away) and the Cattle Country Farm Park (five minutes' drive).

Clean, tidy site, staff (Nicky a star!) are great. Pitches spacious, good facilities. Pub food's decent, but check hours. M5/rail noise is there but usually fine. Minor quibbles on hardstanding/gate times/pub closures, but most want to return.

Disliked If anyone's thinking of staying at pepper pot caravan park in Gloucester, DONT.
upon arrival we was welcomed with a lady who gave me our caravan number and we settled in nicely, appeared clean tidy smelt fresh. Noticed under the oven skirting was loose and sticking out but tgoight none of the wiser.
Second night in, got back after a day out cooked tea got the deck of cards oit and started a game of cards at 11pm.
Only to turn around and see a massive rat run from under the oven to behind the fridge freezer, we were horrified at whay wed seen and panicked, baby in the other end of the caravan, to scared to even go in to check in her not knowing if one would run under our feet.
Called the land lady who owned the park, to be told they've had pest control our 5 times in the space of a week to try and tackle the infestation of mice and rats! No mention of this at check in or any warning! Disgusting!! 180 quid spent on 2 nights which turned into 1 night and then habing to lay out another 59 quid to get us somewhere else to sleep for the night. We'd just eaten tea sat down and seen the rats and mice so we didnt have time to clean when we left, 4 month old baby almost midnight and then to be told to leave and clean quietly so we didnt disturb other caravans, more like didnt want to wake anyone so they wasnt informed of your horrible infestation of rats and mice. We didnt have time to clean. our new accommodation for the night was half an hour away and we just wanted out of there.
The owner was vile about it all and acted like we was over reacting, when we told her our baby had been playing on the floor all morning not knowing what was hidden under the oven, behind the fridge and god knows where else. Her response was " they wont hurt you".
Dont expect to get a caravan and have to share it with mice and rats but here we are.
Refused a refund for the one night and wasn't at all apologetic for having to wake our baby from her sleep at almost midnight.
DISGUSTING. Pepper pot caravan park you should be ashamed.

Site staff pleasant and helpful

Disliked It had changed hands the site so unable to provide bedding and the Pub not open so had to travel
Did not say how close to M5 so traffic noise at night

Liked We stayed here with a family of 5, 2 young children and 1 older child. It was peaceful and had good size pitches the lovely lady at the desk was super helpful and welcoming 5* for customer services. Great for dog walks down the country lanes.

Disliked Could do with a park for the kids on site there is a tiny one on the pub but would be better on site and it would be great for the pub to reopen.

Liked Helpful, friendly and efficient lady in charge who advised us on local places to eat. Good sized pitch, clean and tidy site. Clean and well maintained facilities.

Disliked Nothing in terms of the site management. It is a bit noisy from the nearby motorway, which is unavoidable and lowering the pop top on our van helped enormously. Having the pitch next to the gate and road was also a bit noisy.

Liked Good, fairly private pitch with water and EHU. Surrounded by 3 hedges.

Disliked Near entrance and toilets so many people walking past. Toilets awkwardly set out, open a door and face a wall edge. Lots of cobwebs in rafters. Hand-dryer very weak. Quite near M5 so some road noise overnight.
