What customers say
Lovely Forest of Dean site with forest access & views. Staff are friendly & helpful, facilities clean (if a bit dated). Peaceful atmosphere perfect for walks & cycles. Spot deer! Sloping pitches & poor signal a minor issue. Great for nature lovers.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Really liked this site. We had a tent pitch with no electric and we basically had the freedom to pitch where we wanted in two of the fields which I thought was better than the regimented plots you get on other sites.
Management of site was excellent with clean toilet blocks, plenty of water points and a well stocked shop in reception.
Enjoyed having the food vans on site and also thought the £5 extra for a late check out was a great idea.
Would recommend the site to active families, as it is located in the heart of the forest with loads of walking and cycling trails close at hand.
Wifi available near main buildings which was very useful
Disliked Third field does slope, so finding a level pitch can be difficult when it's busy.

Liked Brilliant Campsite, beautiful location and overall great vibe for camping trip. Lovely little shop with all little essentials you need, lovely pizza van on Saturday night with deserts on offer also, burger type van offering breakfast food also available, along with a chip shop that does onsite deliveries. Cannot fault the whole place..

Electric grass pitch
Liked Staff were all friendly and helpful, we were part of a group and not once did we feel like we were a problem or not wanted.
They checked us in and showed us to our pitches, during setting up they came over and made sure we were all ok and gave some advice in regards to our electric lead, you can borrow ( cash deposit of £20 you get back once handing it in ) if you need a longer line .
They had a burger shack and pizza van which were all tasty as well as the burgers and sausages they sale on site. Toilet blocks may be dated but clean and enough cubicles for no body to be waiting around.
Plenty of walks outside of the gates! WiFi on site, just like the normal WiFi at holiday places, during peak ‘scrolling’ times, WiFi would take longer but honestly it was sufficient enough for us and would only of been a slight issue if I needed to work but nothing stopping me from going off site to send an email or two.
Clean and tidy site!
Disliked No dislikes , would be made a little better if there was a children’s park but it wouldn’t bother only be so we could keep the children in one area and let them play in a designated space and not annoy or worry they are annoying other holiday makers.
