What customers say
Forest location, walks & wildlife get a thumbs up! Friendly staff, clean & roomy sites. Some sloped pitches & patchy WiFi noted. Facilities clean but a bit old-fashioned.

Could do better with less money grabbing policy’s by Forestry England
Powered grass site
Liked Easy check in polite staff.
Clean and Basic Showers and Toilets..
Good for family camping
Disliked Well Overpriced for a nights stay at £53.
Never gave the forestry England 10% discount for being a member even though they charged directly.
Forestry Englands website said two nights minimum stay so couldn’t book on that but pitch up could do one night so conflicting interests.
Drinking water tap over motorhome grey tank waste drain disposal point with poor signage not really hygienic.
No allocated pitch left driving around trying to find a suitable space near an electric hook up but specified at check in you had to be 6 meters apart still.
Not really good for transient campers better of wild camping.

Liked Plenty of toilets/showers, well kept site. We were lucky enough to have a pizza van on site which was an added bonus!
Disliked Expensive compared to other sites. Wifi doesn't work.

Lovely large site, quite pricey.
Unpowered grass site
Liked Beautiful, picturesque surroundings in the middle of Forest of Dean. Very friendly wardens who are always happy to help out.
Disliked Expensive to stay, £100 for 2 nights camping with no electric? And they wanted to charge me extra for bringing a trailer? Not enough toilets and showers for such a large site, and the 3 blocks there are are very dated and need a good refurb.
We will probably return though as the pros outweigh the cons.

Great location for symonds yat and walking in woods
Disliked Not particulary a dislike but just be mindful if you go on a grass pitch you will most likely be on a hill.
