What customers say
Bracelands offers a gorgeous forest spot with heaps of walks & bike trails. Guests rave about the friendly staff, spotless facilities & roomy sites, loving the chill vibe. Some reckon the amenities are a bit old-school & the WiFi's dodgy, but most wanna come back!

Will definitely stay there again, as the site is only an hour away.

Liked First time staying at Braceland's Campsite. It was a lovely experience. The place was tranquil and everything was so peaceful. The facilities were clean and had everything we wanted.
The wildlife was in abundance, rabbits coming out at dusk, blackbirds, thrushes, swifts, robins all going about their business.
There was no end of walks through the forest.
Marvellous views of the sunset on site.
We will certainly go there again and see the change in seasons.
We will take a Vespa next time we stay so that we can get out and about and go further afield.
It was a bit too far to get to Symonds yat and Clear well Caves.
Disliked There was nothing about the site that we disliked.
The shop could have stocked a wider selection of things ......
I went to see if they sold any fruit etc....
Didn't sell any lager.

Perfect holiday , beautiful surroundings
Powered grass site
Liked We arrived Sunday 12th for 6 nights camping in a tent ,our first time to the forest of dean area. I have to say we was blown away by this beautiful campsite, the welcoming staff, simple but clean facilities and the overall location for access to the forest and amazing walks. The sunset over the forest each evening on the furthest camping field that we pitched made sure we will be returning ! Best campsite we have stayed at in a long time !

Liked Great site. All the facilities you need. Lovely spot with no light pollution so the stars are visible.
Disliked A bit of a slope on the camping field but not too bad

Great location, fantastic site.
Powered grass site
Liked Fantastic facilities, really peaceful beautiful location right inside the forest with so much to explore and great ground for pitching a tent. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Great for walking, hiking, running or cycling.
Disliked Minor gripe would be weak WiFi dropping in & out all the time but for me that was only worth a 1 point reduction as the purpose of booking this site was to get away to peace & tranquility

Perfect Girls Weekend
Powered concrete slab caravan site
Liked The site is perfectly situated with walks all around you perfectly signed and right down to the river Wye, a pub up the road and lovely on site facilities including a shop with local produce, snacks and ice (needed in the heat we had) The toilet and shower blocks are extremely clean and tidy (the top ones) staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We had hard standing electricity and the views we're gorgeous of the sunsets. Throughly needed girls weekend!
Disliked It was quite busy but those around us respected the space although I could see others didn't which could've encrouched!
The only other tiny niggle was our spot didn't quite reach the plug in point so had to use the camping ones in front which wasn't a problem as nobody was there but I can imagine when it's very busy it might become a problem

Liked What a great campsite. Staff so friendly and helpful. Great showers. I loved that you can just walk your dog straight into the forest off lead and on to Symonds Yat for a big trek. Beautiful sunset views. Will definitely be back. Thank you Bracelands for making my first solo trip so relaxing 😎

Liked It was an extremely clean site, toilets and showers were immaculate couldn’t fault them. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely location also.
Disliked It could have done with a play park for the children but other than that it was an excellent stay. The WiFi wasn’t that great but it was the World Cup so I’m guessing everyone was trying to get on it.

Will 100% be booking again. Had a lovely time.
Powered grass site
Liked Lovely well maintained site with friendly staff. Staff let us choose a pitch more in the shade and one that was a bit flatter. Facilities clean and tidy, plenty of them so didn’t ever need to queue for a shower. Can walk straight from the campsite into the forest and a nice trail down to river wye. Convenient little shop for basics and ice creams which was important when camping in 30 degree heat. We didn’t bring the dog because it was hot but saw lots of dogs on site and it looked very dog friendly.
Disliked Phone reception is also not great so bear this in mind if this is something important to you. However, this is also a strength as it gives an opportunity to be present and get away from technology for a while.
