What customers say
Lovely spot, heaps of space, bush surrounds, unreal walks & rides. Staff are legends, super clean, dead quiet – folks keep coming back! Dog-friendly, top value. Occasional Wi-Fi hiccups & a few bits need a spruce, but all good.

Liked Great location, campsite/bathrooms clean and well maintained. Would definitely come back.
Disliked A fair amount of the grass pitches are on a lean, but not a big issue.

A beautiful campsite with lots to do nearby!
Unpowered grass site
Liked Clean toilet block and didn’t have to ever queue for a shower or to go to the toilet.
Good pitches with accessible walks and views of the forest.
Friendly helpful staff.
A well stocked shop with all essentials and extras like ice cream, butcher shop meat etc.
We went in the summer last year and it was understandably very busy, felt it was more manageable and quieter going end of May.
Disliked Quite hard to fit in the cubicle doors in the toilets being pregnant as the toilet roll holder was in the way!
Although WiFi was available, we were unable to use it throughout our trip due to poor signal/service (although this fit us perfectly as we wanted to switch off anyway!)

Spacious campsite with shower blocks and friendly staff.
Unpowered grass site
Liked Bracelands is a large campsite, comprising pitches for tents, campervans and caravans. As such, I liked the 6 metre rule between pitches, which helps maintain spaciousness, otherwise it would very easily feel overcrowded.
I liked that there was a reasonably large ablutions with hot showers, toilets and a dish washing area.
The staff were great, helpful and patient.
WiFi offered, which was helpful as there’s not much phone signal.
Snackshop with essential camping supplies.
Quiet and far away from busy roads.
Disliked Showers only had one temperature setting: hot. That wasn’t welcomed when the outside temperature was hot as well. It would be better to at least be able to introduce some cooler water, to lower the temperature.
The drinking water taps need labels to confirm they’re fine for drinking water.
The electric hook-up pitches - dominated by campervans and caravans - got the best late afternoon sun, whilst the non-ehu pitches for tents were confined to the shaded areas. They should be swapped around, so the non-ehu pitches are for tents only and therefore benefit from the late afternoon sun and warmth.
A bit more pricey than other campsites in the area, but not for a noticeable benefit or reason.
