What customers say
This peaceful spot has grand views & trail access for walkers & cyclists. Pitches are big, site is tidy. No loos or showers, but water & disposal are there. Owner's lovely, place is quiet, near Buxton/Bakewell. Some mention slopes. Great for a nature escape.

Liked Absolutely amazing views from this site.
So it's off grid.... like FULLY OFF GRID!
Expect nothing... And your expectations will be beaten to a pulp.
There's a tap to fill up water, and an ibc for chemical waste. But what more do you actually need? You're camping.
You turn onto a pretty good farm track road through an open field straight off the main road, to the top... And you're there.
The views? If you're at the top, 360° views of..... Ermm.... Nothing!... There's nothing but fields..... And more fields.... For miles!
All the way to the horizon is just farm fields....
3min walk to the Tissington trail. bike hire Less than 10mins walk away on the trail.
Did I mention the views?
They're pretty good....
Will defo be going back!!!!
No... There's no WiFi... But I had a pretty good 5g signal. Remember.... You're camping!!!!
Disliked The simplicity of it... I think it'll appeal to quite a few people.... Which means it'll not be as quiet as when I went ...
So in hindsight... Views are crap.... Don't go... 😂

Liked I loved this site. Stunning location. Lovely and quiet, a couple of other campers whilst I was there. No toilets or showers adds to its charm. Just you and the views (and the cows in the next field). So convenient for the Tissington and High Peak Trails too. I had good phone signal and 4G too (EE). I would definitely stay again. A proper chance to switch off 😊

Liked This is a great no frills campsite. It is in an excellent location between Buxton and Bakewell. Is great for walking with the Tissington trail a field away and Chee dale and monsal tail about 20 mins away.
