Liked: Absolutely amazing place. Family of two adults, two teenagers snd one toddler. We often travel around country and normally not returning to same places, not because anywhere is something wrong but just because we love to travel. Definitely I’ll return to this place soon. This place is most best glamping place ever I seen in UK. In pods we had everything. Pots, plates, towels, bedding, cups, even wine glasses, cutlery, washing liquid, hand soap. Chairs, little bedside folding tables…. Microwave, fridge, toaster, cattle. Even little surprise for children, like marshmallows. BBQ and wood chips also there. Seems owners haven’t forgotten about anything. Farm around is quiet. Lots of amazing places around. So much to see around. Castles, caves, waterfalls, parks. I could live there 😃

Liked: Very friendly welcome. The pod is well equipped with everything needed for a weekend away, even bedding and towels. We were even provided with tea, coffee, firewood and marshmallows (which the boys loved toasting over the fire). Very peaceful and as this is a working farm, the horses would frequently come over to the fence to say hello (and scrounge a slice of apple or two). This was a great little find on the edge of the Peaks, and made a great base for a couple of days hiking in the local area.
Disliked: The fridge was a little on the small side.

Liked: We loved staying at Slate House Farm and would definitely come back. We were two adults, three kids and a dog (we brought an extra travel cot of our own) and although it was snug we were comfy and cosy. We were impressed by the thoughtful touches like kindling, marshmallows and even skewers being provided for the fire pit. BBQs are available. The pod was really well equipped meaning we didn’t need to bring anything with us. Beds were comfy and we were neither too warm or too cold. Lovely views, very peaceful and not busy. Handy that there was a ring provided to attach a dog lead to.
Disliked: The field is quite boggy and muddy beyond the huts, so the kids and dog got wet and muddy every time they played, which created quite a bit of additional cleaning to avoid mud transferring all over the hut, floor, beds etc.

Liked: Peaceful, clean and a perfect base for exploring. The host was friendly and gave me space during my stay. Much appreciated and I know I could have contacted her should I have had any queries or required anything. Although I did not use the fire pit, everything was ready if I'd have decided to. My greyhound girl loved it too. Safe, enclosed field and she was incredibly relaxed, as well as curious about the horses and sheep in the adjoining field. I was incredibly lucky to have witnessed the amazing Northern Lights during my stay too. Unforgettable experience. So beautiful x

Liked: Excellent, clean and warm pod. It was wet and chilly outside, but when we arrived, our hosts were friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Even gave me some charcoal for the bbq, so I didn't hand to go and buy some. I was worried the pod would be chilly, but they'd put the heater on and it was cosy and lovely. Very comfortable, would thoroughly recommend.

Liked: We had a great 2 nights here, lovely pods, and a great site. Size was great for the 3 of us, me and my 2 kids (10 and 11) Kids loved the pod aswell as all the animals around the place. We will definitely be back again, and we would highly recommend. Owner was friendly and very helpful, pod was well equipped, clean and welcoming. Our first night, we were hit by heavy rain and wind... but we were cosy and warm all night long. Following night was lovely weather so made use of the fire pit and a disposable bbq 😁
