Electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked: When we arrived the current site warden was there to greet us, he was very friendly, welcoming and informative. We later met his wife, the second sire warden and she was warm and always happy to help. They’re both a credit to the site. Thank you.
The site itself is well maintained with good facilities. It is in a beautiful spot with beautiful views from the self proclaimed ‘pretty field’.
Family and dog friendly. Designated dog walking field was a bonus.
Will definitely come back.

Liked: Security access, a friendly welcome by the site managers. The site is well positioned with magnificent views of the Peak hills and the Derwent and Dove vallies. Well look after, amenities very good, shower block/toilet/wash room clean and tidy. We were only there one night but i would rate it very highly and will be back for a longer stay to take the many walks linked to the site.
Disliked: There is nothing to dislike at this time.

Liked: Easy to book
Disliked: Please look out for the cancellation/amendment policy with this site. We had an issue with our Campervan in the week leading up to our stay (old van unfortunately) I got in touch as soon as possible to see if we could move (not cancel) our booking to the following month and was advised that we could do this but would have to pay half the fee again (£40) on top of the original £80 fee. I understand the need for a cancellation policy but I will be more wary of checking these policies for any subsequent bookings on pitch up. Appreciate I should have checked first. Sometimes things happen out of our control.

From the manager: Thankyou for providing your review.
We do recall you contacting us in the week leading up to your arrival date, to ask if you could transfer your booking to another date as you had an issue with your campa. As a goodwill gesture we went against our terms on Pitchup and offered to transfer the amount you had paid in advance for your second night of stay, to a future date and you would then have to pay for a second night on that future stay. So in all, you would have forfeited your £40 deposit paid against your original booking and would then only have had to pay a further £40 for the second night on your future stay. We do recommend guests take out travel insurance to guard against unexpected events and guests should see if they are able to reclaim lost monies from their own insurance. Our cancellation terms are standard for campsites and we try to retain a balance between fairness for guests and ourselves also.
We hope this puts into context our decision.
Excellent Camp site with friendly staff and clean facilities.

Liked: We loved our stay at the common end farm and would recommend it to others. Everyone was very welcoming and always happy to help.
The facilities block (showers, toilets and Pot wash) was very clean. At the reception area where you check in, they sell snacks, drinks and other essential items.
Depending on the weather 🌦️, you can rent a fire pit for a reasonable price. We absolutely loved our stay and we would go back.
