Powered grass campsite
Liked The wild swimming lake was fabulous, particularly over the hot may half term. Best in the morning or at dusk when it was quieter. Well maintained site, Shower and toilet block was modern and clean across the stay (an achievement on a popular family campsite). Everyone stuck to the quiet hours even though it was buzzing which was great.
Disliked We timed showers badly so zero water pressure to shower when everyone was washing up after dinner! A small niggle and lesson learnt :-)

From the manager: Thanks for your comments - pleased you enjoyed the lake etc - sorry about the water pressure - off to check it out - the neighbouring fruit farm does have an impact too on our water pressure!!! We do see fluctuations - also off to speak to Welsh Water!!! Thank you and look forward to hopefully welcoming you back again in the future.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Well maintained, superbly run peaceful site. Lovely welcome at the gate, everything explained how to use the site. Washrooms faultless, the field in perfect condition and was having a quick mow before the afternoon check in. All previous reviews mentioned the peacefulness. It was completely serene, no noise urban noise whatsoever and everyone was respectful and left plenty of space between pitches. A wonderful tonic :-)
Disliked Nothing to dislike

We’re delighted you enjoyed the peace and quiet of the site, "a wonderful tonic" is a lovely way to describe it and exactly what we hope guests leave with after a stay here. It’s great to hear you appreciated the warm welcome, the facilities, and even the freshly mown field! We take a lot of pride in keeping the site looking its best, so it’s always rewarding when guests notice those little details. Power optional grass campsite
Liked This was our first ever pitch up testing us as motorhome newbies! Check was in the pub and it was a smooth operation with friendly staff. The shower and toilet block was clean and stylish. The pub food was excellent, amazing value for money for the quality of food.
Disliked Nothing to dislike, all very pleasant :-)

Liked One pitch, a private nook over looking a stream and the Forest of Dean. Vince was a lovely host. We even got some freshly laid eggs to take away!
Disliked Not applicable, it suited the type of get-aways we like. So nothing to dislike!
