Nantwich, Cheshire, England
FHU gravel travel trailer campsite (premium)
Liked Great pitch with electric water and drainage. Very large gravel pitch with grass (when it next rains😉)
Spotlessly clean toilets and very well appointed.
Thanked the cleaner personally.
The grass was brown so it looked a little like an industrial car park but the sun shone so you can’t have it both ways. The whole area in the Marina was very well kept with contestant maintenance ongoing
Disliked Nothing, but the view from the pitch was a bit bland.
The cafe could be open a little later on a weekend.

Liked Good old fashioned campsite with a great mix of clientele.
Geoff (Jeff) and Helen were very welcoming and regularly cleaned the facilities. The Guinness was great, just don’t have the first pint of the day. The pitch we got was fairly level, we arrived early on a Friday afternoon so had a good selection. There was live music in the beer garden on the Saturday evening.
Disliked The electric supply was a bit like honey to a bee, almost everyone pitched around the two multiple outlets but they had more than enough sockets. I’d advise bringing a 30mtr cable.

Liked Handy stopover site
Pub on site (closed due to power cut)
New electric boxes
Georgina was really friendly and helpful, there was a power cut and she offered to go and buy anything we needed, excellent service.
Enclosed hedged pitches
Large pitches
No long list of rules on arrival
Disliked The pitch we had was scruffy and full of holes but we were just on a stopover
More water points would be handy

Liked Lovely well maintained site with very clean showers and toilets, a great vibe about the site with a large mix of generations and different people.
Friendly owner and very responsive.
The camp rules were well observed, we were a bit worried a party on site would go on late but they stopped and respected the camp curfew, it was great watching everyone having fun
There was a well stocked farm shop on site with fantastic sausages and great meats, ice cream, cheeses, did I mention the sausages?
The pitches were well spaced and well marked, electricity supply was easily within reach.
Disliked They ran out of sausages in the farm shop

Electric water and drainage on the pitch
Great pub on the adjacent site open Wednesday - Sunday with varying hours
Small community feeling and very friendly
Clean and well maintained toilets and showers

Disliked No separate recycling for glass, tins, cardboard etc. I guess we’re conditioned to feel guilty about that these days.

Liked Great pitch, level, well maintained, next to the river, toilets and showers were clean, only 50p for a shower (bargain).
Refreshingly honest hosts who clearly have a passion for the site with a vision and drive to take it forward, entertaining watching their dog play in the river.
A great pub nearby and a tea room serving all manner of delights a short walk away.
The managers are relatively new so ignore any older reviews. I wish them every success.
Disliked It’s quite a bit off piste but I guess we should have looked at the map properly when we booked.
I’d highly recommend this place.
