Liked We booked three nights at Forest Park as part of our Norfolk campervan journey, and although we didn’t actually get to stay due to our van breaking down en‑route, the interaction we had with the site was positive. When I contacted them to request a refund, the timing unfortunately meant they couldn’t process one — however, they did call me personally to say we could use the three nights at a later date. I thought that was fair and appreciated the gesture. It gives me confidence that when we do finally make it there, the stay will be lovely.

Liked Woodside Caravan Park is a very modern, quiet and well‑kept site. The owner is genuinely lovely and welcoming, and it’s an absolutely perfect spot for anyone who enjoys fishing — the lakes are peaceful and beautifully maintained. The showers and toilets were spotless, warm, and everything you’d hope for. The summer house was a real highlight: TV, games, books, and plenty to keep older children entertained on lazy days. It’s a great touch and really adds to the experience. Once we moved to our second pitch, it was beautiful — sunny, spacious, and ideal for relaxing. We stayed in our VW campervan and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.

Disliked A couple of things to be mindful of: there’s nothing around the site — no pub, no shop, and no woodland walks nearby, so you do need to be prepared. It’s not the best choice for young children; I’d say it’s more suited to adults or families with older kids. My biggest dislike was the gravel — the pitches felt more like dust pits, especially our first pitch in Bay 10, which was cold and only got sun between 12:30 and 2:30. Thankfully, moving pitches made a huge difference.

Liked Wow, what an amazing place! The walks through the woods to Sheringham and across to the National Trust visitor centre were just beautiful — peaceful, scenic, and perfect for our dog. We treated ourselves to ice creams (and a doggy one too!) and spent each evening relaxing in the on-site pub with our two older children and dog, watching the football (England v Norway) and soaking up the lovely atmosphere. The site itself was immaculate — spotless showers, plenty of them, and every facility you could possibly need. There were lots of pitches to choose from, and everything was so well maintained. We stayed in our VW campervan and had an absolute blast. Highly recommend this gem — we’ll definitely be back!

Liked 💚 Liked I absolutely loved it here — what an absolute gem! The site is beautifully kept, peaceful, and full of charm. The bar was fantastic with a lovely atmosphere, and the fire pit was such a great touch for cosy evenings under the stars. The cider was wonderful — crisp, refreshing, and perfectly suited to the setting. Everything about this place radiates relaxation and care. It’s the kind of spot you instantly want to return to. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil escape with a touch of magic.

Liked The pitches are spacious, well laid out, and the whole site has a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere that’s perfect for a quiet break. The walking routes are excellent, and the dog‑friendly setup is a huge bonus. We really loved the setting here — it’s calm, tidy, and feels very welcoming. We also want to say a huge thank you to the staff. After leaving, we unfortunately broke down right outside the entrance due to a snapped auxiliary belt and ended up stranded overnight waiting for recovery. The team were incredibly kind and allowed us to use some hard standing inside the gates so we had somewhere safe to stay. Their help made a stressful situation so much easier, and we’re genuinely grateful.

Liked The location is okay — conveniently close to a main route, making access easy, though it does mean some road noise. The staff are genuinely pleasant and helpful, and the on‑site shop is lovely: well stocked, nicely laid out, and has a charming country‑farm feel. The grounds are tidy and the pitches are clean and well maintained.

Disliked The rules around ball games are a major disappointment. Children are allowed to play directly around the vans and tents, and we saw footballs, bats, and balls hitting vehicles — even a BMW was struck while the parent watched without apology. The language from some very young children was appalling, more like being on a rough estate than a relaxing holiday. Staff responded quickly to complaints, but parents ignored them, and the games continued. It completely ruined the atmosphere.

Liked We absolutely love it here — we’ve stayed a couple of times and it never disappoints. Ocknell is a beautiful, peaceful spot that feels like pure back‑to‑nature camping. It’s perfect for campervans, with plenty of space and that wonderful sense of calm you only get in the forest. The wildlife is magical — seeing the horses wandering freely is such a treat — and waking up surrounded by nature feels like food for the soul. The staff are great too, always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful escape.

Liked We stayed here on our way down to Southampton for a cruise and absolutely loved it. As regular van travellers, we’ve seen plenty of sites — but this one’s a little gem! The park is spotless, the facilities are clean and well kept, and the on‑site shop is fantastically stocked with everything you might need. There’s loads of open space and lovely walks nearby, plus a great kids’ play area. The atmosphere was peaceful and friendly, and we were lucky with fab weather too — couldn’t have asked for more.
