Liked Absolutely nothing. It was filthy and full of teenagers on a scouting holiday. The showers were appalling and completely overwhelmed with the amount of people using them. It was impossible to use the bar/restaurant as it was being used as a canteen for the scouts. We were booked for 3 nights but left after 1. Awful experience
Disliked Everything. Dirty facilities. Unable to use bar/restaurant. Pitch was anything but private. Awful

Liked Not a lot.
Disliked It was very rustic and rowdy. Facilities were poor even the new block had no electricity and weren’t finished off properly. We were pitched behind a group of tents with at least 20 staying in them. More people just kept arriving and they were so noisy until 2.30am. Quiet time not policed at all. On our last night we were approached at our pitch by an African lucky lucky woman. Absolutely no security. Not good at all

Liked Nothing. Didn’t get the chance
Disliked Arrived to find the pitch we’d booked in February didn’t exist. The guy said there was a problem as there wasn’t a pitch for us then tried to fob us off with a parking space. Seriously think this guy is scamming pitch up customers for their deposits and then reselling the pitches they have booked. AVOID

Liked The views of Mont Blanc and Lac du Passy from this site are amazing. The two ladies who run the site are very friendly. The restaurant is very good and the food is great. Facilities were adequate with lots of hot water. This was our 3rd stay.
Disliked Road traffic can be a bit noisy depending on where you’re pitched. Local youths do have a tendency to frequent the lake and play music late at night which can be disturbing.

Liked Fabulous site in a wonderful location. Excellent facilities for kids and adults alike. Staff very friendly and helpful. Pool area was amazing. Ideally situated approximately 1km from the beach and Mediterranean Sea. Vias town itself is relatively new with lots of shops and bars/restaurants. The medieval town of Agde is approximately 3km away and easy to cycle along the many cycle paths or the canal du midi towpath. Fabulous stay.
Disliked The only thing I didn’t like was the unisex toilets but this is a personal thing. The toilets were always clean. I’m just not a fan of unisex.

Liked Lovely campsite with decent sized pitches. Fabulous location between Cambrils and Salou easily accessed with cycle paths. Pool area looked good although we didn’t get time to try this. Bar/restaurant we’re good and good also. Shop on camp was a little expensive but there is a Spar nearby. Showers and facilities were good and always been cleaned. Overall a good site.
Disliked Although the pool area was big it did get quite busy. The site is very large and could stay noisy in the evening on occasions.

Liked When arriving at the site we were pleasantly surprised at the standard. Toilets/showers were good and clean. Swimming pool area looked great and the bar/restaurant was excellent. Our meal on Friday night was amazing. Small town to explore.
Disliked On our first only full day we were planning on using the pool area and relaxing. Unfortunately this wasn’t possible as the whole pool area was closed to paying campers for a private function. No mention of this when booking or even when checking in the afternoon before. Very poor state of affairs. If we’d have booked a site without a pool we’d have paid a lot less and yet the pool we had paid for was out of bounds. Very off putting b

Liked When we arrive, the view of the reservoir was lovely. This soon changed when we saw the rest of the site. It bore no resemblance to the pictures on Pitch up. They must have been taken many years ago. The site was poor. Toilets were old with glass panelled cubicles. We couldn’t even put toilet paper down the pan! Very old fashioned. They weren’t particularly clean either. As for the swimming pool, there were that many tiles missing in the pool, I’m surprised no-one suffered an injury. It was full insects and quite frankly a health hazard. It was so bad, we left a day early. Even the sign above the entrance to site is broken. The pictures imply the lake is part of the site but this not the case at all. The only saving grace is the bar/restaurant is good and reasonable. Will most definitely not be coming again.

Liked Excellent well run site with spotless facilities. Easy reach of Benidorm centre and a short bike ride on cycle paths from the beautiful Albir. Plenty of bars/restaurants within easy reach of the site. Fabulous pool area and shower and toilet facilities are the best we’ve ever across. Friendly resident campers. Excellent supermarket on site. Will definitely stay again.
Disliked The only thing we disliked was the food service finishing at 4pm. That said there were plenty of other places to eat.

Liked The friendly community at the site was very welcome. Pitch was good size although the curb up onto it was quite steep. Bar/restaurant was excellent. There was karaoke the night we were there and all the local residents joined in. Facilities good and pool was excellent.

Liked Lovely site very close to the beach. Facilities clean and modern. Cleaners at work all day long keeping them spotless. Fabulous swimming pool area. Bar/restaurant facilities were excellent and inexpensive. Staff were exceptionally friendly all over the camp. Site shop was good with freshly baked bread and pastries every day. Will definitely visit again.
Disliked The pitch that we were allocated was slightly too small for our needs. This did cause a small issue with one of our neighbours although we’re not sure why due to language barrier. Certainly wouldn’t put me off visiting the site again.

Liked Fabulous peaceful site in the middle of the beautiful French countryside. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We ate at the restaurant which was very good and inexpensive. Liked Loved the area of St Jean de Mont. Hot water in the showers. Location close to beach and the exceptional cycle paths.
Disliked When we arrived it seems the pitches were all water logged. We were accommodated on a hard standing turnaround point which turned out to be very good and plenty is space for our awning etc. The site was practically empty and we had to ask for the toilet/shower block to be opened. Not good. I knew the pool wouldn’t be open until the day we were leaving but it turned out that it was but the bar and restaurant were both closed. No mention of this when booking and certainly impacted on our enjoyment of the site. Also, our pitch was near to some sort of marshland and the noise from the nocturnal birds was horrendous! Won’t be using again.

Disliked Everything. The whole campsite was like the surface of the moon. Facilities were adequate but rarely clean. The campsite is described as having access to a private beach which it does but the sand is awful and black and stains your feet and clothes. Again like the surface of the moon. Not at all attractive

From the manager: Dear Eamonn, we never reply to the reviews on PitchUp because we think that everyone has his own tastes, preferences, attitutides etc... But since you refer to the beach in front as awfuls because it's black, I offer you some informations about the colour of the sand in Ostia (p.s. of course it stains feet and clothes....it's sand.....). The sand is black because of the high percentuage of iron elements like magnetite. In Santorini (Greece) the sand is black because it's vulcanic sand. We receive sometimes questions about the colour of the sand from our guests, driven by curiousity. But none of them ever referred to it as awful and unattractive. You might not like the Camp site but I never heard about someone complaining about the sand's colour or the sand being sand (sticky!)

Liked The views of the Amalfi coast were amazing as was the little village just down the road. Food in the restaurant was good.
Disliked The campsite was basically an ant infested car park. The pitch we were given was no where near the size we had paid for. We woke up the first morning and were completely sniped with ants in our camper. The toilet and shower facilities were poor and never very clean. The day before we left, people were arriving who had booked pitches but the pitch wasn’t available until 10 o clock at night. Very poor. The server in the mini market was extremely rude and unhelpful. I think a bit of poetic licence was used when describing this site.
