Disliked: No grey water discharge facility.
Site is bounded by two very busy roads & therefore not at all peaceful. The new toilet & showers were yet to be commissioned & the original ones were inadequate & unheated. My access email did not arrive so I had to gain access via the help of others. The site office was closed & neither telephone number was being answered. Apparently the site owner had been advised of an incorrect email address for me, later corrected by Pitchup, but still never received.

Liked: Lovely little site in an excellent location for stop offs on our way south. Pitches were good size & level with ehu. Communication from the site was excellent.
Disliked: Situated between two busy roads so aware of road noise but it didn't trouble us too much. Dog excrement on the grass by our pitch & the facilities were very limited however there appeared to be work being done to improve the toilet block while we were there!

We are sorry to hear about your experience with the dog excrement as it is very clear on our arrival instructions that visitors should be mindful of other visitors and that all dogs are kept on leads at all times and that any mess is cleared up by their owners. We are currently improving our shower/toilet facilities and they will be completed very soon.

Due to the close proximity to Chester and motorway links to Manchester/Liverpool/North Wales we do experience traffic noise which all guests are aware of when booking this site.
Our new shower block has been built and will be ready to open mid July. However, our current shower block is still very much open and fully in use.

Disliked: Bins overflowing and shower block in middle of what looks like refurbishment.

Disliked: The shower rooms were not open. There was only one shower in with the toilets which was dirty and there was only one sink to cater for the whole site. Very expensive for such poor facilities

We are so sorry to hear your stay didn't meet your expectations and the shower block was not up to standard. We can assure you they are cleaned thoroughly everyday and we encourage guests to let us know of any problems as we cannot monitor them all the time.
New shower facilities have been built, we just await completion.

Liked: A lovely little site. Ideal location for travelling around the area. A fantastic little cafe (foxes) on site, the food is lovely especially a full English breakfast. Would definitely recommend. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: only minor….shower had a button you had to keep pressing which was annoying! But a very small thing. Overall great place and will be returning soon. Interested in a longer stay due to working nearby!

Disliked: Busy road right next to the site. Too many lorries noisy cars and motorcycles back firering.hard to get out of the site if you turn right with the amount of traffic

Thank you for your review, We are sited where we are at a Great place for visiting Chester the Wirral and North Wales, sadly there is a road close by which some people notice more than others.
We are currently as you say in the process of updating our facilities but in the interim the original facilities are still in use and at all times ARE HEATED.
Automated emails are sent out to anyone arriving after the Office/Reception is closed but for those who book via Pitchup we rely on the correct information being keyed in by the booker as we are unable to contact anyone who doesn't give us the correct details.
lit was me you spoke to and as i confirmed to you, the email had been sent out at 08.13 on the day of arrival with all the pitch and access information contained within it.
We hope you had a safe onward journey and if passing again would take the opportunity to come and look at our Fully Refurbished Facilities.
