  • Friendly and simple site steps from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path
  • Above dog-friendly Caerfai beach a mile from St Davids
  • Well-kept amenities and dog friendly
Sunsets over the sea and the spectacular Pembrokeshire coast… simply stunning. If you like the sound of that, you’ll most likely love a stay at St Davids Farm Camping, a simple site a mile from Britain’s smallest city. This peaceful place prides itself on a friendly and relaxed atmosphere – the four fields here are part of a working farm where you’re welcome to pick your own pitch. No need to fight for the best spots either, for all fields are treated to those spectacular views over St Brides Bay and equally easy access to the coast. There’s plenty of space for kids to play games around the site, and dogs are welcome, both here and on Caerfai beach a leisurely 10-minute amble away. Walks are a top pick in the area around the site, with the Pembrokeshire Coast Path just a few minutes away. The site's basic amenities include well-kept gents’ and ladies’ toilets and showers; standpipes for drinking water, and picnic benches. There are plenty of places to retreat to for eats and drinks in St Davids.

What customers say

This spacious, laid-back campsite boasts stunning coastal views, near a gorgeous beach and the Pembrokeshire coast path. Guests rave about the friendly, helpful staff, clean facilities (including a newer shower block), and pitch choice freedom. It's generally peaceful, though its exposed clifftop spot can be windy, a point some note when setting up. St Davids is a short walk.

Liked This is a great site, run by great people; we were so glad you were able to open this year!

The views are stunning, facilities are spot on, Caerfai beach is 5 minutes away, and the city centre is 10 minutes away. Not sure you need anything else from a camping trip!!

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked This is such a brilliant site. Very friendly welcome from Rob, the owner. He offers his own mobile number if anything isn’t right. He is very keen to ensure a peaceful time for all. And he does.
So much space. Different fields to choose from. Lots of flat pitches. All with spectacular views. The little beach 5 mins walk is beautiful. Lots of sand at low tide.
Ideal base to explore so many wonderful places and stunning coastline.
The walk from the bottom field up to the wash block is actually a lovely walk with beautiful views in all directions and if you if you can’t be arsed then just drive up.
No queues for showers during our stay. Hot water in abundance.
Mobile reception bit dodgy but ok up wash block. Forget your phone for a bit.

Disliked Absolutely nothing!

Liked The owner took the time to welcome us and explain the local area which was really appreciated. The amenities were clean and could pitch anywhere. Lovely view and would definitely recommend.

Disliked There was quite a walk from our pitch to the amenities through and empty field.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Super friendly, helpful and knowledgable hosts. Spacious and plentiful camping fields, all with stunning views and easy access to the coastal paths and beaches. Loved the daily walk to the very clean shower block and toilets; gave time to take in the breath taking views, contemplate how wonderful a camping life can be and chat and exchange holiday experiences with fellow campers. The washing up experience alone is phenomenal, the views make an ordinary task, magical.
15 minute walks into St.David’s or a longer coastal stroll. In the opposite direction a beautiful longer stroll to Solva, both have plenty of shops, restaurants, and public houses to satisfy your culinary needs.
Staying here, will definitely become a yearly ritual, to refresh and revive the soul.

Disliked Leaving..we extended our stay it was soo magical.

Liked Beautiful views, and flat pitch. Friendly welcome from Rob at reception when we arrived. An easy 15/20 minute walk into St Davids from the campsite. St Davids had all the amenities we could have wanted. From the campsite you can walk for about 5 minutes to reach a small but very sweet beach, and there is a larger beach (Whitesands) 11 minutes drive from the campsite.

Local attractions

Make for Caerfai beach first for a sheltered setting, colourful cliffs and birdwatching for species such as choughs, fulmars, peregrine falcons and gannets from the huge colony on nearby Grassholm Island. Surfing, kayaking, coasteering, climbing and boat trips are all easily arranged around the bay and coast too: drop into the surf school at St Davids or ask farm owners Christine and Robert for info and tips. After some time at the beach, stroll along to spectacular St Davids centre a mile from the site, for its stunning cathedral, rightly hailed as a must-see, along with the medieval Bishops Palace and a good selection of restaurants, cafés, pubs, gift shops and galleries. Call in too to the Oriel y Parc Gallery and Visitor Centre to delve into the history of the city and investiage attractions and activities nearby. If you're up for a coastal hike (you really should around these parts), take the Pembrokeshire Coast Path from Oriel y Parc to Whitesands Bay or St Justinians; for boat trips and nature spotting, sail off from St Davids Peninsula around Ramsey and Grassholm islands to spy seabirds, porpoises and dolphins, as well as those thousands of Grassholm gannets.
