Nolton Cross Caravan Park: View over the site

General

  • Scenic site overlooking St Brides Bay
  • Working farm set in open countryside, with on-site farm shop
  • Coarse fishing lake within easy driving distance

Plenty of mighty pretty places are in Pembrokeshire. And one of the county's prettiest is St Brides Bay, the mouth of water and coast from Skomer to Ramsey islands – it's part of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and has a few Sites of Special Scientific Interest thrown in to boot.

Overlooking this pretty lot is Nolton Cross Caravan Park, a mile and a half inland from the hamlet of Nolton Haven, and set in open countryside as part of a working farm.

The kids have plenty of space for ball games on site as well as a play area that's centrally situated to all areas so they can play safely and parents can have peace. A coarse fishing lake with views towards the Preseli Hills is about 500 metres from the park: perhaps unsurprisingly, this vista is mighty pretty too.

Fancy some splendid food to go with your splendid views? Owners Emily and Simon run a farm shop on site inspired by the 'gate to plate' philosophy: that means home-reared beef along with other local produce with low food miles.

Well laid out and easy access to site. Lovely view over the fields to the sea. We didn't have the best of weather, it was November, but we managed to take a walk down the lanes to Nolton Haven. The farm shop was an added bonus, although there was no milk available when we popped in.

    Disliked:

Nothing significant but the facilities were not the best we've seen. The walk from the touring pitches to the shower block was not too bad but at this time of year you definitely need a good torch/lamp and watch out for the potholes along the track.

Walk to the toilets and the overall cleanliness of the toilets themselves.

From the manager...

Thank you for your review. We apologies if the cleanliness of the toilets weren't up to standard during your stay . Our toilet and shower facilities are something we are currently looking into updating and improving. These facilities were originally built when our static caravans didn't use to have their own toilet facilities but it is something we are currently looking into improving.
