Nolton Cross Caravan Park: View over the site

General

  • Scenic site overlooking St Brides Bay
  • Working farm set in open countryside, with on-site farm shop
  • Coarse fishing lake within easy driving distance

Plenty of mighty pretty places are in Pembrokeshire. And one of the county's prettiest is St Brides Bay, the mouth of water and coast from Skomer to Ramsey islands – it's part of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and has a few Sites of Special Scientific Interest thrown in to boot.

Overlooking this pretty lot is Nolton Cross Caravan Park, a mile and a half inland from the hamlet of Nolton Haven, and set in open countryside as part of a working farm.

The kids have plenty of space for ball games on site as well as a play area that's centrally situated to all areas so they can play safely and parents can have peace. A coarse fishing lake with views towards the Preseli Hills is about 500 metres from the park: perhaps unsurprisingly, this vista is mighty pretty too.

Fancy some splendid food to go with your splendid views? Owners Emily and Simon run a farm shop on site inspired by the 'gate to plate' philosophy: that means home-reared beef along with other local produce with low food miles.

A lovely campsite with a distant view of St. Brides Bay. There was meat on sale at the Shop.
    The Staff were friendly.

    Disliked:

I believe the toilet & shower block, although cleaned daily is in need of an upgrade . The soap ran out on one day & the dispenser was broken. It would also have benefited from liquid soap dispensers. There needs to be more hooks on the doors as there is not sufficient room to hang everything which means putting items on the floor.
The bins need to be emptied daily which did not happen on one day.
