What customers say
Peaceful, clean, well-kept site. Friendly, helpful staff. Modern, spotless facilities, hot showers, great dishwashing area. Spacious, level pitches with easy hook-ups. Ideal base for exploring. Minor road noise/Wi-Fi noted, but overwhelmingly positive, many want to return.

This campsite was everything my family…
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked This campsite was everything my family of 4 needed, the facilities are excellent, well stocked up of generous leftovers from previous campers with the toilets and showers cleaned well.
The showers were a good pressure and hot! (But not too hot!).
The simplicity is what we loved, a simple, well maintained field with a sectioned off area for the kids to play safely.
We felt safe on site with a coded security barrier on entry and a sensor barrier to exit.
Having a washing machine and fridge/freezer on site helped a lot too.
The site itself is in a great location with Bridgend not too far and some beautiful walks in the area.
It even came with free entertainment when myself and 4 other full grown adults had to heard up 3 rebellious goats who wandered on site, which gave those watching a great laugh!
I would 100% recommend this site to anyone and will definitely be returning next time we visit South Wales!

Really nice site completely spoiled for us by the shower situation.
Powered grass campsite
Liked Nice quite campsite, easy check in. Nice central location
Disliked The situation with the showers is Bizarre. 1) the biggest issue with these is that there are only 5 showers in total for the whole site and they are unisex. They are separate cubical but the doors have decent sized gaps top and bottom. Whilst that’s fine for me as a middle aged man, my 15 year old daughter was not comfortable at all using these. On the first morning we were there my daughter and wife went to have a shower and the shower block was completely full of men. They ended up going for showers at 6:30 am to try to have a shower with no men around. 2)The showers are completely separate from the toilets and sinks so you have a shower then have to go outside, walk to the toilets to brush your teeth, shave etc. 3) on the face of it they look quite clean however I did see a gentleman ‘cleaning’ the toilets and showers and this consisted of moping the floor with a completely dry mop and wiping around the toilet seat with the same cloth as was used on the sink and taps.
Very minor moan about the Wi-Fi, in parts of wales 5g is almost non existent, with a teenage daughter we deliberately picked a site that advertised Wi-fi. We were advised on checking in that the Wi-Fi was ‘patchy’. We had a pitch close to the office and couldn’t get Wi-Fi at all for the 4 days we were there.

From the manager: Thank You, The river is not part of the site but the stream can be accessed from the kick about area, unfortunately this was very low with the weather.
