Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked Nice campsite in a scenic spot with the river. Good facilities and great hosts. There was a problem with one of the sinks in the ladies and they had a plumber in who got it all sorted by 9am! Very clean and good facilities. Just note that due to the hills, there's no sun in the campsite in the evening which for us on this sunny day was a little bit of a bummer as we arrived in the evening (we did enjoy it in the morning!).

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite (riverside)

Liked Greeted by Mike who explained and showed us where our pitch was.
We were on the hardstanding electric hook up motorhome- right next to the stream
1st time in my life I actually saw a bird called a Dipper- enjoying itself in the stream.
Facilities were excellent, showers were piping hot- clean and well lit . Freezer for ice blocks- washing machine.
We had 3 terrier dogs with us - able to put a pen up for them . It was lovely to have the sound of the water to really relax us.
Pitches are nicely laid out to enable privacy.
Gardens/ grass well maintained.
We live approx 25miles away but definitely will return to this lovely tranquil park.
Thankyou for a lovely stay we will definitely be back 😁

Disliked Having to leave this lovely place a day early due to family commitments

Powered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked This was our third visit to the site and it was great as ever. We requested the very end of the site for our small group so we could be close to the stream as the kids (and adults) love playing in it. The owners are so helpful and visible and the facilities are always clean. As we left on bank holiday Monday, the owner reassured us that we didn’t need to rush to leave so we could take our time packing up. Compared with so many others sites it’s a bargain too. We will be back 😁

Powered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Absolutely beautiful, it was so peaceful to listen to the stream that ran behind us.
Deep in the valley, with only the sounds of nature, we had a wonderful relaxing time and behind the reception is a beautiful walk alongside the river.
The pitch area was mostly level, with all the amenities close by, the showers were excellent and the toilets were kept very clean.
The sites great for walkers, families and dog friendly.
We’d initially booked for just one night, but we stayed another night because we loved it.
The owner was very welcoming and told us to pitch were we wanted, then he kindly gave us the code for the free WiFi.

Local attractions

If walking's your passion, this is the place for you, say the owners of Ceiriog Valley Park… The North Berwyn Way is for experienced or energetic hikers, covering 15 miles of waymarked route split into five sections; start at Llangollen if you want to tackle the full route. The Dee Valley Way is also waymarked over 15 miles and runs from Llangollen to Corwen. More energetic walks – and climbs – are around the Berwyn Mountains such as the hike around the Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, but if you want to take things a tad more easily, take the steam train of the Llangollen Railway for the 10 miles between Llangollen and Corwen, or take a ride via a horse-drawn boat on Llangollen Canal, part of a World Heritage Site. Pony trekking and quad biking are also available in the area.
