What customers say
Great mountain views, chill vibe with farm animals. Some found facilities a bit dated/untidy. Steep access, but improved. Good for a rustic getaway, not for luxury seekers.

Liked What a fantastic campsite!!

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Super friendly and welcoming hosts, lovely welcome message giving various useful information and met by a really nice guy on arrival. Huge camping pitches. Gorgeous views, beautiful location. Saw a beautiful gypsy wagon another couple were staying in which looked brilliant, and it seemed various other little places to stay were being built/prepped. I can imagine these will be absolutely lovely and add to what a sweet place it is when they’re complete. The peacocks, chickens and cats roaming around were a really lovely addition.
Disliked Toilets and showers would benefit from updating. They were useable and worked fine, but the campsite is such a beautiful place, it’s a shame they’re not quite the same standard as the rest of the site.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The site provided drinking water, modern toilets, a place to wash your cooking appliances and a warm shower. The facilities were also very close to the pitches. Situated in a lovely spot with a great view of the mountains you cannot complain for such a reasonable price. I would stay again and 100% recommend to anyone looking to camp in the area.

Disliked Facilities are usable but could be better

Lovely location, facilities are basic and could be spruced up a bit
Primitive grass and earth travel trailer campsite
Liked The views were just lovely, owners/family members seemed nice, campsite cats and farm dogs all friendly. It was peaceful and only a 30 minute walk down to Talybont-on-Usk. We found the path along the canal and it was lovely. Didn't stay long enough to explore further, but seems a good base to walk from.
Disliked Toilets and single shower block needed a bit of TLC. It wasn't that busy and we didn't need to use the facilities much as we were in our van, but I imagine if it was busy, those two toilets and one shower wouldn't be enough.
Also, not a dislike but worth mentioning that most pitches aren't really that level (it is on the side of a hill after all) so if you're in a van, don't forget your levelling blocks. The road up is quite narrow and a bit steep at the end but we got up it fine.
