Highly recommended site! Praised for spotless cleanliness, friendly owners, and beautiful, peaceful riverside location. Spacious, level pitches, lovely walks. Excellent Highlands base. Minor notes: bin distance, occasional midges.

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked The site was exceptionally clean and well looked after. The showers were cleaned three times a day, but also decent equipment was left out so that users could clean after use. Also had lovely music playing in the block! The site is wonderfully positioned next the the river spean, and there is a spot you can swim in, great for an early morning wake up!. Really loved it here

Liked excellent site, very clean and tidy owners are lovely

Disliked had an issue on arrival shad booked electric hook up but last camper still there so had to put our large tent up elsewhere and then the next day had to wait all morning for them to pack and leave, not happy as that took alot of time up and to move the tent and set up again was a pain

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Absolutely amazing!! Owners are very very nice nice and helpful! There was plenty of space to set up our tent and everything we needed. The area around campsite is lovely with the river and walk around. Showers and all facilities are very clean, there was loads of hot water and tap with filtered water as well! Would definitely come back!

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked I liked how large the park was and there was ample places to set up, no issues getting tent pegs in the ground which was ideal. The host were the loveliest people and couldn’t have been anymore accommodating. The campsite was very well kept and the facilities were cleaned frequently. The little bakery box was very cute and a good addition.

Disliked Unfortunately we had a disturbance from another guest which put a little bit of a damper on the experience. However the hosts couldn’t have been better about it and were very understanding about the situation and made us feel comfortable. Potentially another toilet/shower block would be nice, as took a while to get a shower.

Local attractions

Alfresco activities are within easy reach of Bunroy. Bring your walking boots for excellent hikes taking in mountain vistas and waterfalls in Glen Spean and the Nevis Range, both of which are around 20 minutes away by car, or a little further away around Glen Coe. There are some fab mountain bike trails are here too, and local outdoor centres can sort you out with all sorts of other activities including canyoning, whitewater rafting and paragliding. For something a little more relaxing, there’s a golf course 10 minutes’ drive away or you can bring your kit to fish on the Spean next to the site. If you fancy slowing the pace a little bit, take a seal-spotting boat trip from Fort William or bag a seat on the Jacobite Steam Train to cross the Glenfinnan Viaduct (which may look rather familiar to fans of the Harry Potter films).
