Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Owners are so so lovely and helpful, and full of recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The location is really good in the middle of everything and the campsite is gorgeous with excellent facilities. Camped by the river with birdsong, ducks, and the occasional sheep visitor. Has everything you need - picnic benches by the pitches, fridge, freezer, laundry, hairdryer, park next to pitch, iron, charging point for phones...etc - and the laundry was the cheapest we saw camping for 2 weeks across the Highlands! So good we stayed longer than planned.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Hosts were very friendly and welcoming, they paid attention to details on the reservation and accommodated us. Facilities were really clean and tidy, every thing was at hand that was required for our stay. We enjoyed it so much on the first night we stayed an extra night and didn’t need to pre book, were was delighted to assist with the extra night. The park is lovely, has a river walk and really quiet.

Disliked: Nothing

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: This is a truly beautiful camping site. I have never received such a beautiful and friendly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The cleanliness of the site was immaculate which added to the comfort feel. A home away from home. The site is really relaxed and the facilities are beyond fantastic. We will one hundred percent be returning in the future. Wow, just wow.

Disliked: Midges.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Warm friendly welcome Lovely location

Disliked: Facilities - showers (2) & toilet (4) Simply not enough to service the amount of people in the park. In addition whilst the pitches were large, due to amount of people camping and in tourers the park felt very crowded

Liked: Peaceful campsite that was beautiful maintained. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Very clean facilities (even on a very wet day).

Disliked: Local pub was not dog friendly which was a shame. Could have done with a couple more showers. But nothing to dislike.

Local attractions

Alfresco activities are within easy reach of Bunroy. Bring your walking boots for excellent hikes taking in mountain vistas and waterfalls in Glen Spean and the Nevis Range, both of which are around 20 minutes away by car, or a little further away around Glen Coe. There are some fab mountain bike trails are here too, and local outdoor centres can sort you out with all sorts of other activities including canyoning, whitewater rafting and paragliding. For something a little more relaxing, there’s a golf course 10 minutes’ drive away or you can bring your kit to fish on the Spean next to the site. If you fancy slowing the pace a little bit, take a seal-spotting boat trip from Fort William or bag a seat on the Jacobite Steam Train to cross the Glenfinnan Viaduct (which may look rather familiar to fans of the Harry Potter films).
