What customers say
Great lochside spot near Castle Douglas, with friendly staff. Clean facilities. Some found pitches like a car park & the open, public park setting could be noisy with less security. Kids liked the play areas.

Fantastic stay for two touring motorcycles
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Very friendly welcome. Allowed two small tents on one pitch. Offered the use of a second pitch with hard standing for our motorcycles. Quiet site, just a short walk to town centre with some nice cafe/ restaurants. Large well-equipped toilet/shower block, spotlessly clean.
Disliked Nothing

Handy place to stay near town
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Walking distance to shops and restaurants. The park was quiet and peaceful. Lovely view of the loch.
Disliked In a public park giving access to the public to walk through past the tents. Made me worry about the security of my bike. Not the park fault, I don’t read the description well enough prior to booking.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The area is beautiful right next to the loch. It’s very quiet and peaceful. Not too far from shops so no need to take too much with you. They have toilets and showers on site.

Ok for a one night stop over but not a lot to do in Castle Douglas!
Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Very close to the town, nice walks nearby
Disliked The static car park set up is just a bit peculiar, with some of the residents maybe not on a par with usual camping ethics that you may expect.
