Liked Fantastic value for money if you only stay for a few nights (since there are no showers and washing up facilities).
Very laid back and relaxing.
Lovely friendly owners.

Disliked Would have liked more than one sink in the toilet block.

Liked The camp site location and price. Little farm with Emu, turkeys and other animals.
Very friendly staff taking care of the camping site.

Disliked Sheep excrements on the pitch area. No hot/warm water on toilets.

Exactly as described perfect basic campsite with toilets . Which we found clean and perfectly usable.

Liked Friendly busy campsite great location
We loved seeing all the animals including Emu’s in their pens at the side and sheep roaming freely about on the site
So cheap to stay as well absolutely perfect and can’t wait to get back there again next year, the pop up pizza stall on the Saturday was a bonus, can’t comment on any facilities as we didn’t use any having all our own stuff in our camper van.
Shops pubs and a cafe all down the road from the site

Liked Mostly quite would poss go again.
Facilities were good and a pi,,a takeaway on site on Saturday night,didn't try though maybe next time.
Good place for dogs kept on a lead.

Disliked Not happy with the recreational smokers during the day.
Even more disgusting when your trying to have your first cup of tea in the morning.

Liked Great site. Limited facilities but we were in a van so didn’t bother us. Friendly owner and extremely quiet at night. Would definitely recommend if you’re happy to strip wash for a few days! We loved it.

Liked Very friendly owners. Toilets always clean and toilet rolls and soap. Good budget campsite with plenty of stuff to do around the wider area. Stayed 4 nights but think that's the limit without a shower but of course campsite with shower costs lots more highly recommend anyone to stay at halletts rural campsite

Local attractions

This is the Jurassic Coast and that means beaches, cliffs and coastal walks are on a whole other level… you might want to dive right down to Durdle Door (50 minutes) for the iconic photo spot or a picnic with the stone arch view. This area is well known for variety all along the coast, from the fossil collection in Portland Museum (20 minutes’ walk) and the gun platforms at Portland Castle (five minutes’ drive) to the historic sea fort at Nothe Fort (20 minutes). History’s strong inland too and that’s certainly the case at Maiden Castle (35 minutes), one of the hugest Iron Age hillforts in all of Europe. Dorchester (35 minutes) has its own thing going on – mainly museums, mummy replicas and Thomas Hardy’s 19th-century home. Those of you in search of ways to entertain the family might want to head towards Fantasy Island (25 minutes) for a funfair-style outing, or perhaps the SEA LIFE Centre Weymouth (25 minutes) for an aquarium and adventure park. Nature’s all about too, especially at Abbotsbury Swannery (half an hour), where a colony of nesting swans reside or at Kingston Maurward Animal Park and Gardens (35 minutes), where there’s a lake and animal park.
