What customers say
Highly recommended, family-run site with spacious pitches & great, clean facilities. Guests loved the farm animals & fishing. Peaceful spot; hosts are welcoming. Downsides: spotty signal/Wi-Fi, parking off-pitch, & a local fire ban.

Excellent campsite, would definitely recommend
Lake view powered grass campsite
Liked The whole campsite was amazing and you get so much for the value, we will 100% be coming back many times. The owners were lovely and happy to chat too and everything was nice and clean
Disliked The only issue we had was the fact the showers wouldn't get hot only slightly warm at best. It was cold at night and coming out of a cold shower into the cold weather wasn't ideal but that's only a minor thing and we had an amazing stay and absolutely love this place

Had water hook up on our pitch too which was fab.
Lake view powered grass campsite
Liked The owners Matt and Kelly were wonderful, very helpful and friendly.
What they have done with the whole site is amazing, the best place I've stayed at.
Look forward to returning again soon.

Amazing site, highly recommend. Clean, family run & very accommodating
Treeline primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked We booked last minute and so glad we did. The campsite is brilliant from the moment you arrive with a lovely warm welcome. You can tell it’s family run. The site was clean, pitches well spread out and generally a lovely feel to it. The animals (lambs, goats, pigs, alpacas and chick) and fishing lakes were a great addition which my son loved (as did we). They don’t allow cars on the pitches which makes the site quieter and safer for the kids to play (you can drive to pitch to set up and pack down). Loved the thought that has gone into the site - fire pits and table benches on each pitch aswell as draining boards in the washing up areas.
My autistic son can struggle sometimes but it was very accommodating for him and the owners were so welcoming to him - he especially like it when he was offered to feed a baby lamb as he had been really upset the previous night about leaving them.
The deliver of logs to our pitch every night (paid for in advance) was fab. My son loved the pizza that was made on site and delivered to our pitch on a quad bike - hot and delicious. One of the best sites we have been to so much so we have booked to go back in half term (3 weeks later).
Doesn’t have great WiFi but they do have a barn with sofas you can sit in which does have good WiFi. Didn’t both us as camping is a time for us all to put our devices down.
Disliked For us there was nothing we didn’t like. We were lucky to be near the toilet / shower block as I’d imagine it’s a bit of a trek if you’re in one of the further pitches. There is a eco toilet nearer (which was clean) but not everyone likes to use them.

Excellent facilities, I will visit again.
Treeline primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Very well kept grounds. Very nice washrooms and toilets available and the eco toilets are regularly checked and Very clean.
Animals on site was pleasant to see and a lake where I saw someone fishing.
Was a quiet and pleasant stay.
Disliked Nothing I can think of, it was only a short stay for me but enjoyable.

Treeline primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Owners were very welcoming, the price was extremely reasonable for everything and a lovely location. I stayed in the treeline section which was out of the way which I loved as it was very peaceful.
Disliked Would have liked if we could’ve parked our car next to our pitch.

Sunset primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked A really wonderful campsite. Lots of different pitches for different group sizes, sunset pitch was perfect for the two of us. The toilets and showers were clean and well kept, and there's lots of animals (I would enjoy saying hi to the pigs!).
There is even an eco loo near the pitches further back (we were in Sunset 42) which was nice as it meant we didn't have to walk back to the toilet block all the time.
The owners were really helpful and friendly. One of my favourite campsites I've stayed on.
Disliked Nothing to dislike - there wasn't much phone signal during the day (but was oddly fine at night after about 10pm) but I always welcome this as it forces me to switch off.

Liked Pitches are spacious and nicely laidout. Facilities were clean and maintained. Lovely little farm on site and two decent fishing lakes. Family that run the campsite were really friendly. I'd absolutely recommend the campsite and the woodfired pizzas made on site.
