What customers say
Spacious, well-kept site with friendly hosts. Clean, basic facilities, good hot showers. Campers enjoy choosing their spot. Adjacent woods & coastal access are big pluses. Occasional camper noise & preference for permanent toilets over portaloos noted.

Rural setting, helpful staff. We'll definitely come back.
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Great location alongside nature-rich woodland. Basic facilities done well; everything we needed. Friendly and welcoming staff, who are actually there most of the time, including for evening arrivals.

Quiet, friendly, straightforward
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Loads of room to pitch up. The staff were amazing, helpful and friendly. The facilities were basic but kept spotless. And the showers had brilliant water pressure.

Excellent site, close to Bovington Tank Museum especially for Tankfest
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Site was good, mostly flat field, facilities were clean and well maintained, staff were friendly and genuinely interested when they were asking questions about us. We were visiting Bovington Tank Museum for Tankfest 2026 and wanted somewhere really close, this site is 5 minutes down the road, there is also a nice pub and well stocked SPAR in nearby Wool.
Disliked Washing up sinks didn't have any roof, we had a really hot weekend, but this could be a problem if it was wet, there was also no site Wi-Fi, this might be difficult to achieve as the field is quite large but mobile coverage for me was almost non-existent so it would be a nice-to-have.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked This was a great campsite. It has basic facilities but exactly what we were expecting. Everything was clean and staff were welcoming and friendly. It was a busy campsite with a mix of campers (families, couples, groups, etc) and the site was quiet between after 11 pm.
The site offers fireplaces and wood for those that want to rent one.
I definitely recommend this site and look forward to returning.

From the manager: Many thanks, yes May and August bank holiday are often quite busy, especially if the sun shines like it did this May. There is always plenty of space though as the field is so large.
Would recommend great campsite
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked The field - gorgeous wild flowers
The woods and the easy access
The fire pits - great recycling and worked well
Disliked Unfortunately whilst the majority of people were quiet after 11 not everyone respected that and we had various noisy neighbours into the earl hours.
