What customers say
Guests love Fred's Farm for its quiet rural setting, amazing sunsets, and friendly hosts. The campsite has clean toilets and a dishwashing station. Visitors enjoyed the thoughtful touches, like the garden. While the ground was tough during a heatwave, and pitches might be tight when busy, it's a fantastic, highly recommended spot for a relaxing getaway.

Precioso sitio de pernocta en nuestra ruta
Primitive grass campervan campsite

Although we only stayed one night…
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Although we only stayed one night we loved this campsite! Loved that the toilets were real ones and not portaloos, was really quiet considering it was on a road, very easy to find and the vegetable patch/herb garden was so lovely! The ground was very hard (definitely not their fault of course!) so bare this in mind if you're needing to put pegs in the ground. Thank you for a lovely time, we would definitely come back again!
Disliked The only issue we had (which was barely one as it was so quiet during our stay) was that the places to pitch weren't very big. There are two mowed out sections to pitch which does mean if there's lots of people there you're quite close to others. It wasn't an issue for us as there were only two other vans but perhaps something to bare in mind.

Fantastic
Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked I had an absolutely fantastic weekend staying at Fred’s farm campsite in Gillingham, near Dover! From the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly welcome. The farm is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and the perfect place to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle.
Waking up to the fresh countryside air and stunning views each morning was a real highlight. It was such a peaceful setting and the perfect place to relax and switch off.
One of the loveliest things was the beautiful little garden. The owner even messaged saying I to help myself to anything growing in the garden to use when cooking, which made my stay feel so personal and welcoming.
Exceptional place, good location—friendly, kind, and always happy to help people, while giving me plenty of space where I was cooking or sunbathing. You can really tell how much care and pride she puts into the campsite and ensuring guests have a memorable stay. I loved the sofa at the back of the field where I watched the sun go down which was amazing!
I left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to coming back. If you’re looking for a peaceful countryside campsite with a warm, genuine host in Gillingham, near Dover, good prices, clean and tidy facilities. Then Fred’s farm is the perfect choice for you. I couldn’t recommend it more highly—5 stars all the way! Thankyou ever so much for a lovely quiet weekend away.

A fabulous pop up which we shall come back to again
Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked Wow! Loved this site - was everything we were looking for! A true ‘field popup campsite’. Communication beforehand was very helpful, very friendly without being over the top. It was a half an hour walk through fields to the Ship Inn in West Stour (although the bar doesn’t open til 6). There are no showers but this is made clear in the information but the toilets are very spacious and clean, the sinks for washing up etc were immaculate and the facilities were amazing for such a set up. Given we were in our third heatwave we were pleased we were in a van and not a tent as the ground was rock hard with huge cracks but Rachel had warned us about this beforehand. The sunset was incredible, our dog loved being able to sniff about and be off lead and the fact that there were only 3 groups camping meant we felt like we had the place pretty much to ourselves.
