  • A 10-minute drive from Newquay and Perranporth
  • Outdoor pool, play areas, bars, restaurants and takeaways
Within 10 minutes' drive of the golden sands of Perranporth beach and Newquay's vibrant surf scene, Monkey Tree Holiday Park is a family-friendly holiday destination set in 56 acres of scenic Cornish countryside. Families looking for an equal mix of relaxation and entertainment should very much appreciate this place… First of all, it has a heated outdoor swimming pool, indoor and outdoor play areas and a jam-packed schedule of seasonal entertainment to keep families entertained. Kids should appreciate flitting between the miniature golf course, the arcade and themed activities, while adults can unwind with live music and excellent food or take the time to soak in the peaceful surroundings. There are on-site bars, restaurants and takeaways. The location is also worth an honorary mention: Monkey Tree Holiday Park is in a prime spot on the north coast of Cornwall, within striking distance of the famed surf beaches of Newquay and the lovely village of Perranporth. The cathedral city of Truro is a 15-minute drive from base too, and has plenty of shops, dining venues and cultural attractions. Guests can easily explore the coast and countryside. This site caters for families and couples only; no solo travellers or groups.

Liked ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Monkey Tree Holiday Park — Highly Recommended

What a brilliant spot. Plenty to keep the kids entertained and the on-site activities were great.

The Details:
- Cleanliness: Spotless throughout, and they clean the facilities daily, so it stays fresh.
- Facilities: Excellent range on-site.
- Entertainment: Great variety for the kids — plenty to do.

Getting Around:
There’s a bus stop right outside the park. Round trip costs just £12 for two adults, making it super affordable to pop into town or visit local attractions for the day.

Verdict:
A clean, well-maintained park with great facilities, excellent entertainment, and easy access to the area. Perfect for families. Would definitely recommend.

Liked This was the perfect site for us and spotless. Great team working there, all friendly and helpful.

The pool was excellent.

We drove 400 miles for this site and will do it again.

Disliked The only thing slightly missing is activities for ages 8 to 12, many activities aimed at ages 3 to 7, not that we minded but I can see in a couple of years this would be a gap for us.

Liked The access to the shower block from my pitch

Disliked There were no seats for us to sit in the evening, we tried outside for the bingo and inside for the shows, all that extra money it cost for entertainment we may as well pitched up in a cheaper site, we ended up just sitting at our tents

Liked We had a really lovely weekend! The staff were lovely and welcoming, the facilities were great, and the location was perfect. There was excellent entertainment for the kids, which they really enjoyed. We had such a fantastic time and will definitely be booking to come back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Disliked The only small downside was that the Wi-Fi didn’t reach our caravan, and as we’re with Sky Mobile, we had very little phone signal, so we were pretty much without internet apart from being able to make calls. However, we were on holiday, so it certainly didn’t spoil our stay!

We had such a fantastic time and will definitely be booking to come back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Liked What a site!!

Great location for nearly all Cornwall sites, really close to Newquay and the beaches, this is the big selling point of the site.

The pool is actually nice, and little cold and no slides, but for young children, it's brilliant.

Disliked The people here are bloody awful, the noise is terrible, screaming kids, barking dogs and general council estate scum.
The pizza place is the most badly organised take away I've ever seen, how you burn pre-prepared pizza, I have no idea, and then charge the obscene prices.
The shop is 200% the cost of a normal shop, so easy to just pop into Sainsbury or Lidl in Newquay.

Liked Nothing!

Disliked - The dirty floors in the bar area, covered in food and litter.
- The noise level that went on until 2:30am right outside our tent, despite the ‘strict 11:30pm noise cut off’ rule and despite me contacting security to have them come and sort the noise out.
- Finding out someone was stabbed at the same campsite only 6 weeks before our visit.
- Toilet/Shower block cleanliness
- Overall attitude of the staff/management
- The fact that your pool access is restricted but there is no mention of that anywhere pre-booking, you only find out once you have booked and they have your money.

Liked Good park. Good facilities.

Disliked We were late checking out. (My son burnt himself the night before) I was hounded be the staff (5 in total) to hurry up and leave. Single mum trying to pack up with 2 young children on her own. I was interrogated by the security guard who asked me what had gone wrong to make me late packing up. I’m not sure the relevance and served only to intimidate and take me away from the task at hand. Others around me too were late as they came over to ask what the issue was with then as I’d been approached so many times and they hadn’t. They were not spoken to at all! Didn’t need the stress. Especially with an 7h drive imminent.

Local attractions

Cornwall’s coastline and beaches are pretty much legendary, but Newquay (10 minutes) is world-famed for its surf and nightlife too. It’s a party town from daybreak until well after dark and the surf's so good they hold international competitions here – check out Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay. Perranporth (10 minutes) is the place to head for a more relaxed beach day, though it’s very popular so best to get your towel down early. The beach here is a fab spot for dog walking, rolling up the trousers for a paddle or lazing around and copping a look at the views. The Eden Project (35 minutes) has the UK’s most realistic rainforest, full of rare plant species and exotic butterflies, as well as a pretty nifty Mediterranean biome. Daredevils can also have a go on England’s longest zipwires here.
