What customers say
Friendly, well-kept campsite by the Thames, noted for roomy pitches & clean facilities. Staff are helpful & welcoming. Great for families with a central playground. Some mention aircraft noise from Heathrow, & occasional facility cleanliness issues at peak times. Parking is separate.

Primitive grass campsite

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Friendly staff, clean facilities, right next door to a large park which was perfect for dog walking, walking distance to 2 great pub/restaurants, the three horseshoes and the bridge. Beautiful location by the river.

nice site friendly staff but expensive
Power optional grass campsite
Liked friendly staff, mainly level pitch, local cycling routes, quiz on the Saturday was a nice touch, they have lots of work to do to the site which will take time and money but for their first year they are doing well.
we hope to return in the future.
Disliked chemical disposal room needs ventilation,
road could do with replacing but it all takes money and time. can't leave car by your pitch have to leave it in a separate car park, (council rules) price was rather expensive for the pitch

Worked well for our one-night stay
Power optional grass campsite
Liked Location was superb, although the narrow lane with roadworks to get there was a challenge
Disliked Separate parking, unnecessary inconvenience & risk

Perfect location and very helpful friendly staff.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Location, perfect for Merlin adventures, went to Thorpe Park and Legoland so used the site as a base. I believe it's also handy for getting into London and it's right on the Thames. Lovely local area too.
Staff are extremely helpful, we couldn't make the first night of our stay due to vehicle problems and on arrival, they don't charge for the missed night, which I didn't expect at all, so a huge thank you for this.
Site is well spaced out, electric pitches have their own plot but non electric are on the field in the middle and there looked plenty of room for all. Small park/play area for the children in the middle so can be seen from your site. There's an indoor 'games' room with table tennis but we didn't use it (may be other things in there as well), useful if rainy weather. Gates are locked for security overnight.
We didn't walk from the site but I think you can walk into the local village/town.
We will definitely be back for our next Merlin adventure 'down south' or even a visit to London.
Disliked Showers aren't the most powerful but they do the job, toilet block slightly aged but these are just petty comments as the location of the site and friendliness of the staff make it a very worthwhile stay.
We were in a campervan but if camping, car has to be taken off site once pitched and parked on an adjacent car park.

Liked Loved the people; Andy and Harry couldn't have been nicer when they welcomed us. Lots of friendly campers; loos were immaculate and the river just across the road was perfect.
