  • Superbly located Surrey campsite with easy motorway access
  • Thorpe Park, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor within 30 mins' drive
  • On the banks of the River Thames, with Thames Path access
What a handy camping spot this is… Laleham Camping Club has easy access to the M3 and M25 motorways, it’s close to Heathrow airport and Staines railway station is only about 10 minutes’ drive away for easy jaunts to the capital. On top of all that, there are all sorts of attractions within easy reach, including Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor. And if that all sounds a bit exhausting, it’s good to know that the location within London’s protected Green Belt means you’ll have peaceful surroundings for relaxing on site. The River Thames runs alongside, giving you access to the Thames Path for walks and bike rides, or to the water for kayaking, paddleboarding and swims. The nearest major urban centre is Staines, accessible by car, bus or a walk along the riverbank and with a good collection of shops and restaurants, plus a cinema. Closer to home, Laleham village is 10 minutes’ stroll away, and has a convenience store and a choice of three pubs. The folk that run this Surrey site haven’t just relied on their location, though – they’ve made sure the place is a comfortable place to stay, with a good number of facilities including a launderette, free hot showers and handy extras including hairdryers and shaver points. Chillout time is well spent here too – there’s a small play park with sandpit in the centre of the site, and a wet-weather room with Sky TV, a pool table, table tennis and a dartboard. Next door in Laleham Park there’s an outdoor gym, a bigger play park and plenty of space to play games or walk dogs.

What customers say

A friendly, well-kept camp with top facilities, loved for its river spot & local attractions. Staff are helpful, loos are clean, pitches big. Mostly great stays, though planes can be a bit noisy. Good value, great for families.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Great staff, friendly welcome, the location on the river is beautiful. Children playing happily in the centre of the camp. Campsite also has a long history and has been in same hands for a while! Adds to the overall family feel.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Standard basic campsite, nothing really stood out as great.
Probably cheaper than others in the area.

Disliked Staff were less than enthusiastic, and presented themselves as though they couldn't be bothered. Not the most welcoming or friendly.
Toilet / shower block unclean. Interestingly the staff walked in, used the facilities then signed the sheet to say they were clean when clearly they weren't.
Not a site I would want to recommend.
Feels like it could do with a bit of thought, time and money spending on it.

Disliked Not being able to have car next to tent, couldn't blow air beds up without taking them to the car as didn't get back till after 8pm.
Sink taps didn't stay on unless you held them down.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Quite a lively place, with lots of people around. Good facilities for children with outdoor climbing frames etc. The toilets were pretty clean with good facilities. The nearby river is great for walks and sitting around in good weather.

Disliked I little bit of noise from some of the other campers, but this stopped at 8pm (I think the on site people asked them) so all positive!

Recommend to friends Visit again

I would certainly stay here again, and look out for special events.

Liked The staff were very friendly, and thoughtful about our request for pitches and location. The entertainment (quiz) was good fun, and brought the people who were on site together in a pleasant social environment.
