What customers say
Setthorns is a peaceful woodland campground in the New Forest, lauded for its natural beauty, privacy, and ample space. Guests love the abundant wildlife, direct access to trails, and the friendly staff. While there are no on-site washrooms, many enjoy the "back to basics" feel. Minor points include occasional road noise and patchy cell service.

Primitive cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Such a friendly welcome on arrival.
Completely immersed in the new forest and all the surrounding nature.
Very peaceful and spacious.
Disliked Having to pitch the toilet tent after a couple of hours in the car 😆

It's ok, but I'll probably choose another next trip to the forest.
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Quiet, woodland, easy access to cycle paths, pleasant staff.
Disliked No allocated pitches, had to drive around looking, and it was really busy, so don't arrive late. Pitches are also very mixed levels, and many are not flat.
The chemicial toilet emptying points are miles away and in poor condition. The hose not working well, no hand sanitiser etc...
The water taps are infrequent.
It's very back to basics and quite expensive for what it is.

We love this campsite, we’ve been…
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked We love this campsite, we’ve been here 4 or 5 times over the last couple of years and absolutely love the spots under the trees and being so close to nature the fact that we can take our dogs and the available walking trails. We extended our stay for an extra night other than the 3 days we had already and even then we didn’t want to leave.
Disliked The fact that we had to go home haha
