  • On 30 acres of landscaped park, with views over the Ribble Valley
  • Plenty of activities, play areas, pool, crazy golf, arcade and bar
  • Within easy reach of the Forest of Bowland, Pennines and Lake District
You might fall over when you clap an eye on Beacon Fell View, a family-friendly park in 30 acres of landscaped parkland with rather spectacular views over the Ribble Valley. Slap bang in the middle of Lancashire, the park is conveniently placed for day trips to Blackpool but within easy reach of the Forest of Bowland, the Pennines, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales; golf, fishing and walks are all available close by too. Firmly family-friendly, Beacon Fell View has many little touches to jazz up your break: purchase a pass at the poolside to access the indoor heated pool and paddling pool. During the high season, there is entertainment every night, as well as children's activities from 10am to 1pm every day. (In the low season, the children's activities run on weekends from 12pm to 2pm instead.) Adults can use their kids-free time to watch Sky Sports or down a drink in the adults-only lounge bar. (A family bar is available on site too.) Amenities include hot showers, a covered dishwashing area and a launderette, and kids can additionally live large at the indoor and outdoor play areas, crazy golf and arcade with amusements and a pool table. Pitchwise, all is level, grassy and within five minutes’ walk of reception; guests have access to water points and can park their car by their pitch. For supplies, nearby Longridge has a well-stocked farmers’ market, a couple of supermarkets, two decent pubs serving good food and – quids in again for the kids – an outdoor adventure centre with everything from water orbs to fencing.

What customers say

This park has a pool, entertainment, and arcade, a hit with families. But, touring spots are often too small, poorly kept, and sometimes dirty, with complaints of few staff, leading to service issues and noise. Ongoing upgrades aren't fixing these touring pitch problems.

Camping pod (no pets, Private restroom amenities)

Liked Welcoming staff.
Lovely site and views

Disliked The bed in our pod sadly was not big enough for two people.
We also couldn’t get any change anywhere on the complex for the kids to use in the arcade. Change machine out of order and the bar didn’t accept cash. Had to cut our night in the bar short as the kids ended up bored.

Camping pod (no pets, Private restroom amenities)

Liked . The pod was a lovely size and we had our own shower and toilet which was nice.
. Bed was comfy and sofa bed too.
(Pillow's were a bit uncomfy but that's probably down to personal preference)
. Only stayed for one night but we went into the bar and got a drink and they were decently priced.
. The lady at the food hut outside the bar was lovely and the hot dog and hot chocolate were nice.
. We took our own cooking stuff as it stated this on the email. I think a kettle and maybe a little tea/coffee selection would be a nice added touch.

We enjoyed our night and will be back next year for longer.

Disliked . We arrived around 6pm and checked in at the bar. When we got to our pod we unlocked the door and the lock on the inside fell off. Tried to contact them through the phone number and pressed 2 for assistants but no answer. Luckily we did manage to fix the lock and were able to lock the door for night time.
. Music was playing loud where the pitches are until around midnight.

Liked Location is good.
Facilities are good
Onside pub is good
Facility prices were good

Disliked Caravan pitch allocation wasn't good, hard to determine which was our pitch due to it not being clearly marked, this caused problems with neighbours.
Hard to get in to pitch due to narrow leading road.
There was a party group blasting music till early hours in the morning, many were complaining!

Liked Nothing!

Disliked Loud music and singing going on till 2am!

Weed smoking

Kids acting the pan, dangling off barriers

No soap in hand soap dispensers, Toilet paper not coming out holder. Sick in the sink! People leaving sinks horrible after they have washed up 🤮

Not cleanest of places Iv been

Pitches aren't maintained that well

People behind bar don't seem to know much,
we checked in wasn't told we needed card for electric we read this on the box. so we had to go bar and ask no one seemed to know anything about the electric & had to call someone else that lady was nice and sorted it. But if people have to check in when reception is shut the other staff should at least know these things. Just like when we asked about activities no one knew anything or times

Think it's shocking as well you pay all that money and then have to pay extra for swimming.

Liked Nice bar - I have to say that is all.

Disliked The toilets were absolutely disgusting - and I mean disgusting. I am not picky but the least you expect is toilet roll (none in 3 days), hand wash (none in 3 days) and every single cubicle filthy. I know you can't control other guests actions but I know for a fact that the mens toilets were not cleaned in the three nights we was there. You've advertised a park and football pitch - the gate was locked and horribly overgrown. Strange that you had maintenance people doing the garden area around the glamping pods but the rest of the park was awfully dirty. Bins overflowing and a chemical toilet with no hose for rinsing after use. The pictures of the lake massive mis-sell. Unfortunately no return here

Disliked The parking spaces were overgrown with grass, and the toilets were dirty; I was afraid to use the shower for fear of catching something. Personally, I do not recommend it—it’s not worth the money.

Liked Little

Disliked Disgusting toilet and showers. By 10 am, no cleaning, no toilet paper, and little changed throughout the day. Confusion on pitch numbers, but no one from reception could be bothered to walk the 2 minutes to help.
Bar area and pool fine, but everywhere else pool would be included in price.
So disappointed, as would love to visit on regular basis. To be honest, I would expect refund given the disgusting state.

Local attractions

Beacon Hill Country Park and the Forest of Bowland are mere minutes away by car and both have miles of walking routes across a range of landscapes including woodland, hills and farmland. Climb to the top of Beacon Hill to see landmarks in all directions including Belvoir Castle, Lincoln Cathedral and the hills of the Peak District. Said to be the inspiration for Tolkien’s Middle Earth (which might make you want to furry foot it there immediately), the Ribble Valley has the 70-mile path the Ribble Way, shopping in towns such as Clitheroe or munching one’s way around the Ribble Valley Food Trail. The River Ribble is a big hook for anglers landing chub, barbel, trout and salmon. City day trips are in all directions too: the kids’ eyes will light up with a trip to Blackpool… and for shopping, the Trafford Centre and Liverpool One of Manchester and Liverpool respectively should empty your wallet nicely…
