What customers say
A tidy, clean site with helpful staff, perfect for Pooley Bridge & Ullswater walks. Facilities are good but a bit dated. Wi-Fi/mobile signal is weak, and some felt pitches lacked privacy.

Great location, clean and tidy, great facilities. 5*
FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite (maximum 8 metres)
Liked The site was great, it was in a good location easily accessible from the M6. It was clean and tidy with a shop and bar on site. It also had a kids play area with great views of ullswater. Pooley bridge was a short walk away and keswick a 25min drive. Communication from the site was fantastic and they went over and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. The pitch offered electric, your own water supply and a tv antena link up. Super fast wifi is also available at an extra cost. Would highly recommend this site.
Disliked Not that I disliked anything but mansion house was a fantastic building and it would of been great to know more about its history and how it got to where it is now.

The location of Waterfoot Caravan Park…
FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite (maximum 8 metres)
Liked The location of Waterfoot Caravan Park is beautiful and is easily accessible; only a short drive from main roads as well as being within walking distance from the scenic village of Pooley Bridge.
Communication leading up to our stay was great, and I would recommend filling out the pre-check in questions before arrival. Because we arrived after 5pm (when the reception shuts) a member of staff rang me ahead to explain this and send over all access details required.
The facilities are clean and well-maintained and within less than a minute walk from our pitch! They have laundry, dishwashing, toilets, showers, hairdryer, recycling and waste disposal and even a dog bath!
Disliked Thought having to pay for wifi wasn’t great as signal is patchy on the site.

Good location for exploring
FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite (maximum 8 metres)
Liked We enjoyed our stay, despite the weather. Location is great for exploring the lakes.
Disliked We know it is a quiet site but our only niggle was that the clubhouse bar closed really early so nothing to do on an evening unless you travelled out.

Perfect Experience - Super Dog Friendly
9M FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Everything! Lovely pitch size and perfect level. Warm and inviting reception with what looked a great shop for necessities. Clean toilet / shower block. Showers were an impressive size and comfortable to use. Really easy to find off main road, but no noise coming in from traffic. We visited the mansion pub which was great, and the free wi fi in there was starlink and so fast! There are footpaths leading through the site that were a great walk for the dogs. They even have a small woodland walk for the mutts on site, and plenty of dog poop bins. We wandered off to Pooley Bridge along the footpath and the views of the lakes were out of this world. The ‘town’ was great and had more walks - the little shop with the big door is a must visit if you like your gins! We paid for WiFi on site and that worked perfectly for us. The staff were all really good, and we just enjoyed our stay 100%
Disliked Having to leave!

Liked Really liked the site. Common areas were great. Walks were brilliant and the information provided by the site was excellent. Went during storm At and the staff were out in the morning checking all the site and clearing away tree parts. Walks to Pooley Bridge were excellent
