What customers say
Nestled on a working farm with gorgeous views, this spot features roomy, flat sites with great water/electric. Perfect for walks and cycles, close to Keswick and pubs. The well-stocked honesty shop is a hit! Some find the basic showers/toilets dated, but they're clean, functional, and have good hot water.

Great friendly site
FHU gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Spacious pitches that were spaced far enough apart to feel private, great MTB rides right from the site including a cycle path too Keswick. Warm welcome from the owners, everyone was friendly. Great little honesty farm shop. Shower was amazing after a long bike ride. Hot and Powerful

A working farm in a picturesque area
FHU gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Fantastic view from our pitch which was on the higher level - overlooking Blencathra. The little farm shop was a lovely addition, we used it several times.
Disliked Fully serviced pitch area is great, but there is another area opposite which looks like some caravans remain there permanently - not a great view if you're facing those.

FHU gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Spacious, level and clean pitch with fantastic views of Blencathra and Clough Head. The electric point, water and grey waste was right next to the caravan. The electric supply was very good. The farm shop was a great addition, with a good selection including fresh eggs and home made cakes. The phone signal was good.
Disliked The toilet block let the site down. It was very primitive and cold, although the water was very hot and the shower powerful.
No information was offered when we arrived.
No WiFi on site.

Would go back!
FHU gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Great pitches with own small walls around. Water supply and drain on pitch. Amazing views of Blencathra with your morning cuppa :). The farm animals all around were a great addition and sheep early in the morning grazing right outside our caravan when coming back from the field. The little shop on site was amazing with lots of essentials plus extras such as home made Jams cakes, all done through an honest system.
Disliked It did not effect us as we have our own toilet and shower but the facilities were not the best.

Great site, well located, great size and level pitches & friendly
FHU gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Really spacious pitches and after a small misunderstanding at the start, the owners quickly rectified and got us onto the right pitch, if we could have booked in for more nights we would have, but it’s so popular! Deliciously quiet and we don’t use the facilities other than waste so although basic, it’s a farm so we’ve stayed at plenty to know generally what to expect. The views are immense, there’s a lovely close by walk via the rail path and although the weather didn’t give us much scope to bbq, the farm shop would for sure come in handy!
Disliked Only small note for improvement is no immediate signage when you arrive so you need to ring as we thought we were in the wrong place but they did come straight out

Liked Spacious pitches, friendly family run farm.
Quiet, plenty of walks on your door step.
Disliked Same as a lot of other people in saying that toilet and shower facilities although clean do need updating.

Very disappointing stay.
FHU gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Well laid out pitches with plenty of space in between.
Chemical waste and fresh water supplies easily accessed ( just mind the geese droppings!)
Disliked Toilet and shower block is really awful. Very run down and not up to an acceptable standard. Having stayed in several other camping parks during our time in Lake District the facilities at Setmabanning are very below par.
And having paid £39 for one night we felt it was totally overpriced for the standard set.
We appreciate it is a working farm but there was no clean pathway to either “reception” or the toilet shower block.
Farm shop did not make up in any way for the poor toilet shower facilities.

Liked Nice big pitches with their own water and power. Really relaxed welcome from lovely Margaret. Beautiful views and so lovely to see a lot of activity on the working farm.
