What customers say
A tranquil adults-only site with gorgeous rural and sea views. Spotless modern facilities, handy honesty shop. Great access to the Cinder Track, near Whitby/Scarborough. Level pitches, appreciated privacy. Friendly owners.

Overall very good
Primitive cement/asphalt and grass tent or RV campsite
Liked On arrival we found a good size pitch, able to just drive in with no need to check in. Sea view in the distance, we found some lovely dog walks. Kitchen available to wash up and a communal fridge, toilets & showers. There is a honesty shop for essentials and hire of a fire pit for evenings. The campsite gave a lovely atmosphere on a night as people settling down, chatting and enjoying their camping but respectful of others as it was quiet whilst sleeping. We will return for our 3rd visit.
Disliked I wanted to give 10 stars but had to be honest and give constructive feedback.
The only thing I disliked was there was a resident dog in the barn, each morning (early) he/she was barking with the deepest loud bark as people were quietly walking by. The dog was only doing his/her job but did disturb our sleep on a morning and woke my dog who started to pace about.
When i was taking my dog out for a walk. I ventured away from the barn not to trigger the dog but the bins were at the side of the barn, on the first morning I put my bag in the bin which triggered the dog and caused the reaction. So the other two mornings i walked away from the barn and used the bin later in the day not to cause the dog to bark and wake others Maybe a good idea to move the bins away from the barn.
We had one bit of confusion on arrival, I had asked when booking if a spot could be reserved where we stayed the previous year & described where we were parked. I didn't get a reply, so we got there just after 1.30pm to get a pitch to suit our requirements. There was a cone in the spot i had asked to reserve so thought it must have been reserved after my request. We moved the cone, parked up, set the awning up, kitchen, wind break etc then later on a van drove by askng if we had moved their cone. This was a coincidence it happened this way and this particular pitch, but it did make us feel very uncomfortable. There were others we could have picked but didnt want to pick the othervif this had been reserved for us. I left customer service no stars as I had no communication

A lovely shed with basic supplies if you need anything. About 13 miles to Whitby & 10 to Scarborough. Would definitely recommend & return again.

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass tent or RV campsite
Liked It was so peaceful & the view when I got up in the morning was amazing. The toilet/shower although basically was clean (this is what happens when its just adults on site) I did have a look in the honesty shop just in case we did need anything while we were there! We would gladly come back here for a couple of nights

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Peaceful, clean and just the right amount of facilities at a great price. Super clean bathrooms, with really nice big shower rooms, nice pot wash with kettle and microwave available. I didn't use the honesty shop, but it's great to have for emergencies. No check in required - just pitch up and relax. Right next to the cinder track for bike rides and walks. One of the best sites I've stayed at

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass tent or RV campsite
Liked The campsite is well presented with bright and clean facilities, great idea of honesty shop. Lovely pack walks in the surrounding area.
Disliked I would like to see the option of recycling cardboard and bottles but easy enough to take with me and find local recycling bins.

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Showers were really good, big and plenty of hot water. Liked the fact that clear roof meant they were warm even in the cold weather. Good flat pitches with a good view.
Disliked Light did not seem to work in the washing up area.
