Liked: Quiet little site on a working stables.
The hosts were friendly and welcoming.
The bathroom facilities were great, just as if you were at home.
The site is remote, a good hours walk away from Sheriff Hutton where you will find The Highwayman pub which has good food.
We only had a two night stay, but I’d assume you could find other walks in the area if you were staying for longer. Alternatively it is only a short drive to Castle Howard or into York.

Liked: Small rural site beside beautiful old farmhouse on working farm.
Facilities basic but very clean and accessible. Couldn’t fault the hosts who were very welcoming and helpful.
We were lucky enough to be the only visitors staying so had the place to ourselves!
Local pub, 10 min walk away, open for drinks (no food) 6-10 daily.
Well situated for visiting York via park n ride sites (10/15 min drive)
Would recommend, would definitely use again.

Liked: Small peaceful 5 unit site, situated in a field Infront of the main farmhouse. Views over the surrounding countryside and of the horses. Bathroom spotlessly clean. Really friendly host's
Disliked: Not a dislike as such, but a tight entrance into the farm and also the field. Just be aware of.

Liked: Very nice owners. The lady was very chatty & friendly. Both very friendly.
Showers were awesome actually in the house & toilet. Cleaned after each use.
Silence all around absolute heaven. Lots of walks or rides about but I was resting so didn’t do anything active this occasion. Couldn’t suss the bus route out not really accessible but was disappointing but we just used the van & left awning.
Beautiful horses in paddock daily but no noise. Lovely stay & will return.
Disliked: Nothing really just the bus stops not being close by after being told they were.

Liked: Beautiful peaceful site with the warmest welcome from hosts (in this case, the usual hosts' uncle and his wife), the ideal place to sit, relax, unwind and enjoy nature and the sounds of the farm. Lovely clean toilet/shower room. Can't wait to visit site again, didn't want to leave!
Disliked: Nothing at all
